The group managed to sneak into the city and kept moving in the shade without being seen
"First of all, your hometown is...wow" Keyleth smiled as she looked around at whatever she could as they walked, "But, how can a city just teleport to the Fey Realm?" she asked
"The Elven nobility have arcane means of moving it" Vex answered, "it's rarely seen"
They made to a corner and peaked out to see if there were any guards around but Garmelie walked out, "Right this way-"
Vax pulled him back just in time as two guards walked by.
"You lead us here for your amusement, didn't you?" Percy asked the chuckling satyr
"Oh, of course not. Going around would have meant pixie territory and you do not want to tango with pixies" he explained
Miel shuddered, "oh fuck, nope, he's right" she said, "I don't want to deal with pixies"
"Why? What's so bad about pixies? Aren't they nice and pretty?" Keyleth asked
"Oh, they're pretty" she said, "but let's just say that you don't want to be around them...if you have skin"
"What?"
"No. Straight through is the fastest way to the Shademurk" Garmelie interrupted, "come, come" he said as he lead the way
They made it to another corner but there was a whole group of guards just walking around.
"Certainly are a lot of guards" Vex pointed out
"More than I remember" Vax added
"We're almost through" Vex said as she started walking, "Just a few more blocks and we're" a spear stopped her in her tracks, "fucked"
They all raised their hands to show that they meant no harm as so many guards pointed their weapons at them.
"Outsiders, state your names and purpose" one ordered
"Lower your weapons" Vex said, using her pointer finger to lower one spear, "we seek an audience with Ambassador Vessar" she answered
The guards looked at her in confusion, but no one moved to lower their weapons
Vax sighed, "we're his children"
The rest of the group looked at the two with surprise at what Vax had just said. Soon, the guards lower their weapons and start to escort them down the street. They walked all the way to one side of the city to a grand house that was up on a ledge, almost looking over the whole city. They walked them in and had them wait in a grand room while they let the Ambassador know that his 'children' Vex'halia and Vax'ildan had arrived. Basically, they went to go confirm
Miel walked over to Vax, who was just standing at the center of the room.
"Love, you didn't say you were a noble" she said holding on to his hand
Vax sighed, "you didn't ask" he replied
"To be fair, we never talked about our families" she chuckled holding both his hands. She knew how much Vax hates his father, so she wanted to try and get him to calm down a bit. The last thing they needed was a tense, hatred filled Vax'ildan when they were just trying to go across the city.
Vax let his features relax as he smiled at her, "That means it's your turn to tell me about your family"
A sweatdrop fell of the side of her head, "Uh, maybe later" she chuckled nervously
"Aw, come on, love, your family can't be as bad as my father" he said
'I don't know about that, Vax' she thought as she smiled nervously
