Sophie's P.O.V.
I glittered to the sparkly palace at the same time Tam and Linh did. Out of habit, he slung his arm around my shoulder and I leaned into him. This made Linh give off a small "awwe," and got heart eyes. I'm joking. About the heart eyes. Not the Public Display of Adoration. I know PDA stands for Public Display of Affection, but you should have noted the thick layer of sarcasm I put on.

"Linh," Tam groaned. "For the last time, we have no romantic interest in each other. Sophie and I are just close!"

Linh nodded along. "You guys are a lot closer than Fitz and I, and we're actually dating!"

"Don't remind me," Tam grumbled.

I sighed, not knowing what else to do. "Let's just go inside." As much as we both knew that the rest of our friends would tease us, Tam and I couldn't find the strength to separate.

Even before we reached the palace, Linh started running away, probably leaving the pair of us behind for some sort of reason.

"They're all so annoying," Tam grumbled. "Too bad everyone else is together. Now we can't tease them back."

"Keefe and Marella aren't together," I mused, mostly just to myself. "Too bad."

Tam saw my face light up. I could feel the cogs turning in my mind. "Sophie, whatever you're thinking, don't do it. It's a bad idea." I smirked at him. He knows me too well.

"Come on, Tam! It'll be fun!" He sighed. He knew that I would not change my mind, and that he was just delaying the inevitable. Finally, he relented and I told him my brilliant plan...

Yes, I know it's a short chapter, just under 300 words, but you should think about it. Short chapters mean more chapters, and right now, Mama hasn't taken my phone away yet. I'm also in a very good mood. I'll just let you connect the dots...
