Sophie's P.O.V.
The haziness was more than I could take. I felt alone in a fuzzy cocoon of uncertainty. I could hardly peel my eyes open, let alone get up and flee from the suffocating darkness. It felt different than the smooth, cool, inky black from Tam.

Wait.

Who was Tam? Where did I get that name from? Was I supposed to know him? Where were my other friends? I saw as a bunch of people flash through my mind, but I couldn't place their names. Did I know them? Better question, did they know me?

I pondered these questions as the murky uncomfortable shadows slowly faded away. Eventually, I was able to wake up.

"She's alive!" A rough voice called from one end of the room. I sat up, groaning. "Welcome to my wonderful prison!"

I turned to look at the boy who spoke. As soon as I saw the silver on his black bangs, I remembered everything. "Tam!" I exclaimed, getting up.

"The one and only," he grinned. "Happy to see me?" He gladly took in my bone-crushing hug and shared it's equal.

"It's nothing," I said quickly, not convincing him. Fortunately, Tam didn't push further as he let go. His eyes trailed over me, most likely making sure I wasn't hurt. I gave him a smile, which he returned, but it faltered when he saw my hands. "What?" I worried, and looked down. That's when I gasped. Clasped tightly to each wrist were small bracelets, made of strong metal with small, black rubies dotting the gold. They each  had five stones carefully placed in the center. Blue, red, white, pink, and light purple. One for each of my abilities.

Ability restrictor.

My eyes widened at the realization and quickly took Tam's hands in mine. He had the same thing, except there was a grey stone in the middle.

Tam cursed, and frankly, I felt like it to. I was almost positive that the Neverseen had captured us, and now we didn't have any powers. We were useless.

"I see you've found my new toy," an achingly familiar voice called from the bars of our prison. I turned around to find Gisela.

"Hello, Gisela," I snarled, walking right up to the bars. "Fancy meeting you here."

She sighed. "Sophie, I don't even know why you're doing this. All you have to do is cooporate, and everything will be much easier."

Tam scoffed. "Easier for you, maybe, but it would be a lot harder on us." Gisela nodded along, agreeing with every word. "And why would we ever do anything for you?"

Gisela smirked, the uncanny replica of Keefe's, except this smile was much worse. Colder and crueler than he could ever muster on his face. "Because of these," she chuckled, holding out her hands. It looked like the same bracelets that we had, but hers showed both colors of my stones, and Tam's. She snapped her fingers and I waited. Nothing happened.

"Ha!" Tam sneered. "Doesn't look like it worked!" Gisela's smirk just got colder. Tam started to say something else, but was cut off by a shadow slapping his face. He stood there in shock. Then a different shadow came up and seeped into his boots. Then he started screaming.

Yes! 544 words!! Longer than the last two! But wow, that was a good cliffhanger! Or was it a cliffhanger? I don't know. Oh, and this is the third chapter of the day! God was definitely planing ahead. Tuesday to Thursday, I will be helping out with a camp, so I won't be updating. Anyways, here are the questions:
1: What do you think Gisela did?
2: What do you think Sophie is going to do about it?
And:
3: Do you have any ideas for this plot? It would be nice to have a little help. I've got a good plot going already, but it will go by quick, so who's got Ideas? You can PM me to keep the secret from other readers.
Love you guys, welterusten/ goededag!
