Pretty blond hair with perfect figure. She's standing in front of Steve with her mini tight red dress. Her boobs showing off. Her dark red lipstick doesn't suit her skin tone. No offense. But I can't deny the way she's looking at Steve.

Who is she? And why she's calling him baby? Ex-girlfriend?

"Baby, you look bloody hot in your tux" she said and hugs him tightly while giving me her awful smirk.

"I missed you baby" she says rubbing her Botox lips on his cheeks. She has no respect that I am standing there with him. And him, why is he allowing her to do that?

As he has read my mind, he pushed her away and dust himself. Giving her a don't-even-think-about-it look. He then looked behind to me and nod slightly (translation: to follow him without questioning) and I did just like that.

A lot of questions running in my mind and I'm still looking for answers. Just as we step in the penthouse, the crowd starts to cheer at us, popping up champagne.

"Congratulation, mate" a young man approaches us. "Congratulation, madam" he says. I responded with a smile.

And then, a pair of couples came over. 'Whoa, here comes the couple of the night" he said and the woman beside him, i assume to be his wife, gives me a big hug. "Congratulation, sweetheart. I'm so happy for you both." she said

"Oh goodness, Steve, she's looking gorgeous" she adds and I blush slightly

"Yeah, she's beautiful and honestly I thought Steve will be bachelor his whole life" the man said

"F*** you man"

"Hold up, Sam. Let's enjoy the party. Come, Peg, I have a lot of things to talk with you" she pulls my hand towards the big dining table. Steve follows us with Sam

"I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sharon, Sam Wilson's wife" she says

"I'm Peggy Carter"

"So, what did you think about this place? I mean I heard you're from Vermont?"

"Yes, and I kind of miss my place. This place is amazing, but nothing can replace Vermont."

"I kind of get it. So.." she hesitated slightly.

I looked at her and she looks pass to Steve and whisper "I heard what happens, Peg."

My smile disappears. My heart feels heavy.

"As a woman, I can understand how you must have felt, and I feel sorry for you."

I try to swallow every word she says. But my heart is getting heavier and heavier.

"Peg" she holds my hand and looks at me sympathetically. "I knew him for pass 10 years. He's a good man but he doesn't know how to show it. He feels he doesn't deserve peoples love. When his mum passed, he was raised by his father and his father is just like him now. Cruel, abusive and he treated him very badly." she said.

"How did you know this? "I asked.

"Sam told me. He was with him from childhood, and they are very close."

She sighs. "And about the divorce, don't worry you guys still have 6 more months. You can change him, Peg."

Can I? Can I change him? Can I give him the love he deserves? Will he accept that?

These are the questions running through my mind and it's still there without any answers.

"I hope so" I said without any hope.

She smiles and says "You will"

As we were talking, the same woman that approach me and Steve at the parking lot, shimmering towards him with a glass of vodka. "Hey baby, this is for you" she points the glass towards Steve and he refuses to take it.

"Diletta?" Sharon whispers.

"Hurm, may I know who she is?" I ask Sharon

"She, hurm," she hesitates abit "She's one of our colleagues."

Colleague? Why is she hesitating like that? If so, is this how a colleagues should behave with another woman's husband?

"Diletta, I said stop" Steve said

"Steve, come on. The party is getting boring. Let's do our usual." she winks.

"Diletta, it's enough. Have some respect" Sam says

She rolls her eyes and gives me weird kind of look. Leaving Steve alone, she left to join the rest for dancing. Both Sam and Sharon look at me silently.

After some time, chit-chatting, drinking and eating, the music has begun.

"Yes, come on let's dance" Sharon stands from her place and pulls my hand.

"No, no I don't dance. I don't know how to dance" I said trying to avoid her

"Don't worry. Your husband is here. He thinks he owns Justin Timberlake" Sam says

"Come on, Peg. Steve, you must dance with her" she pulls both Steve and me to the dance floor.

I'm standing in front of Steve with no idea what to do.

"I don't know how to do this dancing stuff" I said. 'You choose someone else to dance with you"

Someone except that blonde.

As I about to turn to leave the dance floor, a pair of hands wraps around my waist, and I'm pulled towards his broad firm chest. For a moment, I forget how to breathe. My heart is hammering. I'm face to face with his chest. And when I look up, a pair of green eyes already drilling holes in me.

I feel like I'm hypnotize to his stare. I wanted to look away but he's making it impossible. His hand is still wrapped around my waist.

With his rough and husky voice, he says "Just follow me."

And I trust him. I don't know why I trust him, but I did. We danced for a moment. Our eyes locked the entire time. His breathing is heavy, and I can see his heart is hammering just like mine.

We dance and dance and dance. And I feel happy.

Until the music comes to an end but still, I'm under his hold.

When people start to cheer for us, it distracts our attention to them and Steve walks away from the dance floor.

But I can still feel his handprint effect on me. I hope I can tattoo it forever.
