“Bondita!”

Tupur raised her voice at her cousin sister when even upon calling out to her thrice, she did not answer.

Bondita snapped her neck towards Tupur, looking at her with slightly widened eyes.

Tupur looked at her confused. It was evident that her sister was lost in thoughts that she had just brought her out of. To her, it seemed like Bondita hadn't been herself since the time Thakumaa fixed her marriage to a distant relative's brother, Saiyam.

What Tupur could not understand is what intriguing thoughts was Bondita losing herself to so often nowadays.

Saiyam, as much as she could tell from the very few interactions she has had with him, is a decent guy. He has a decent job in Mumbai, a small but good family consisting of his mother and father. Bondita was marrying into a good family. Tupur knew Bondita did not have a lover either.

Then what is it that is worrying her sister?

“Were you saying something? Maine dhyan nehi diya"

Bondita's voice now brought Tupur out of her thoughts. Looks like Bondita's company was also pushing Tupur into overthinking.

“Haa...Woh"

Tupur hesitated, before clearing her throat and confidently assuring her sister that she could confide in her.

“Bondita tu thik toh hain na? Koi pareshani hain toh mujhe bata. I'll do everything to help you out, I promise"

Tupur's concern warmed Bondita's heart. She truly appreciates the bond she shares with both her sisters, Tupur and Tapur.

But Bondita was at a loss of words. She did not know what to answer, she did not know why she had been so lost since the last few days. She did not know if she wanted to marry Saiyam but she also did not know why she wasn't sure about the marriage.

Saiyam is nice to her, she doesn't dislike him either. She has no reason to not want to marry him, but she just knew that somewhere she was craving something else, someone else.

But who?

She did not know.
