Batgirl, and depression

3: His girlfriend

By the time we arrived at Mount Justice, it was sunset. I stared at the horizon through the window. It was quite beautiful, I must admit.
Dick was driving the jet. He opened one of the windows, and a little breeze got to his wavy hair. The first time I met him was like yesterday. Which I still remember all over the years. He was there for me when no one was. And the best time we spent together was being Robin and Batgirl. Partners and friends. Who ever knew that time flies so fast.

"We're almost there, it's that mountain." Dick pointed. The hidden gates opened, and we flew inside. When we got off, a group of people was standing there to greet us.

"This is Batgirl." Nightwing introduced me. "Hi..." I said to them all.
A boy in a yellow suit came to me first. "Hey, I'm Wally aka the one and only Kid Flash! So, what should I call you? Batsie? Or, Batbae?"

"He's kidding, don't mind him. I'm Artemis, nice to meet you." The blonde girl in the green suit said. She carried a bow and some arrows, probably Green Arrow's student. "I'm Aqualad." said the tall guy. "I'm M'gann. I go by Miss Martian though." The girl with the green skin and red hair like mine, said.
"And that's superboy." She introduced her boyfriend. "Hi I'm Conner." He said. I shook his hand, and turned to the final member. The girl with the gorgeous raven hair, blue eyes and pretty doll face.

"Hi, I'm Zantanna. I have heard a lot about you. Nightwing always talks about you." She said.
"I heard a lot from you too." I answered.
"Let me show you around!" M'gann said. I could see Dick wanted to follow us, but Zatanna wouldn't let him. I love romcoms, it's nice to see it in person. It's love. I chuckled and followed M'gann.

"Thank you for the tour." I thanked M'gann. I found a corner in the cave and opened my game counsel. Started playing for a while until I saw Zatanna coming my way.

"May I have a talk with you? About Dick." She said.
"Yea sure, what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Well, his birthday is next week, but he's going back to Gotham that day. So, I'm thinking that I should pop up for a while as a surprise. What do you think?"
"Sure... why do you have to ask me though? You are his girlfriend."
"Yes, I'm his girlfriend. But you're, his best friend." She said, and left.

Weird. Is she worried about me and Dick being close? Sensitive girlfriend. We're obviously just friends. Besides, I have no interest in dating, or stealing people's boyfriends.

Whateves. I continued my game. But was interrupted when they went to talk to me.

That night when I went home, I saw my dad waiting for me. He usually isn't at home. Being the chief of the police is a job that you always have to work overtime. He asked me about my day. I told him that I went to meet new people, and he was satisfied with me finally making friends.
The team was nice and all, but Zatanna... is quite sensitive.

I talked to Kara about it as well, Superman found a loving family that took her in, in Metropolis, the Danvers couple. Now she is officially Kara Danvers. My friend.
