Two months ago...

It always took Tae extra time to get ready, making his best friend and roomate have to wait for him whenever they'd go out. Not that Kook would complain tough. After all, he enjoyed seeing Tae with those outfits he put together that made him look like a model. That specific night, Kook was holding the open door of their apartment with his keys in hand, fully aware they were running late to dinner.

The elevator doors opened a few meters from him showing a tired Min Yoongi. The man lived in the apartment next to them and kept as always that stern look that made everyone else in the building avoid him. Not Jungkook, though. The younger loved talking to his neighbors and meeting new people was one of his strenghts.

- Min! Hi! You had a long day?

- Mhm

Yoongi took out his keys ready to enter home but Kook kept talking. He was getting bored while waiting for Tae so any kind of conversation was fine to spend the time for now. Besides, he knew Yoongi wasn't upset, he was simply a man of few words.

- Hey, did you hear the news? They're renting the apartment over ours again! You know, the cursed one!

That made Yoongi stop and turn to him slightly interested. With absolute confidence, he corrected the young boy.

- It's not cursed. It has a ghost. That's all.

- Woooow, can you imagine? That sounds so cool!

Yoongi was about to answer when someone else came out of Kook's apartment finally closing the door behind him. Kim Taehyung didn't even say hi to the neighbor. He was too focused on the time it took him to pick a shirt and how late they'd be to have dinner with his friends. He took Kook's hand and the younger had to wave Yoongi goodbye before taking the elevator. And the blond neighbor entered his apartment not knowing that was the last time he'd see those two together.

When the two friends arrived at the restaurant, Tae's friends made them a signal from their table. None of them was surprised to see Jungkok with him. It was hard to imagine them by separate. They've been friends for over 6 years and only after the first one they moved in together. The chemistry between the two was undeniable and everyone in that table knew how thing should've been for them.

- We ordered for you already so I hope you like it hahaha

- As long as it has meat we'll be satisfied!

- There's still some things we ordered to open the appetite, feel free to take some!

In that place, they had their last dinner together, they laughed almost the whole night through and when it was all over they decided to walk their way back home. It was too late to take the bus and they both enjoyed gossiping about the rest of the group on the way back. Especially Jungkook who might've had one or two problems with one of them

- He was totally flirting with you!

- Hahaha Kookie, please! All he did was peel my perilla leaves!

- Yeah well, first he'll do that and next thing you know you two will get married

- HAHAHHAA You're over reacting there!

Even through the discussion, Jungkook was smiling. Because he loved making Tae laugh. He loved making him happy. He loved him...

- I think I'm being reasonable, next time you shouldn't let him do that

-What if I don't feel like doing it myself?

- I don't care. Only you should do it! You or the person you wanna marry hahaha

Tae took the chance. After thinking about ways to say it, he just went for it. He stopped in the middle of the empty street to ask a question. One that would take Jungkook by surprise.

- Then will you do it for me?

- E-Eh? You'd end up marrying me, Tae hahaha

- I know...I love you, Kookie...

For the younger the world stopped. He had to stare into his eyes for a minute to make sure it wasn't a joke. To be sure the words he was dying to hear finally came out of the boy in front of him. Tae was biting his lip, his hair a little messy from the wind. The moon light reflecting on his eyes. Or that's what he thought until the light got brighter. The car coming their way did the best to stop in time. But it was too late...

Currently...

Jungkook opens his eyes, breathing heavily. He hates dreaming about that night. He hates the sound of the crash replaying in his head. Even the memory of Tae's smile is painful to remember. In the middle of the night, he gets up from his bed. The apartment is a mess. No wonder, he doesn't have the energy to clean the house or himself to be honest. His feet take him to Tae's room.

- I miss you so much...

He starts walking away. Maybe he could have something to eat in the kitchen. However, only after taking a step he hears Tae's bedroom door close. Confused, he opens it again and enters the room. The window is closed so it shouldn't be the wind. Before he can leave the room again the door closes once more. He thinks about fixing it when he hears something. A whisper in a voice he knows better than his own.

- I wanna sleep, one night at least

He freezes. Standing still he can hear his own heart skipping a beat. Slowly, he looks around only to find nothing there. Nothing or no one. He's sure that was Tae's voice. There's no doubt in his mind so he calls him. He starts by whispering his name but by the end he's pretty much screaming waiting for an answer. Nothing happens and now he's just left to wonder...is he going insane?
