feelings bloom like flowers - gwen stacy

Gwen Stacy entered Y/N's flower shop feeling overwhelmed. She had been asked to put together an extravagant flower arrangement for a friend's party but was unsure where to start. As she nervously scanned each bouquet, she heard raised voices from the other end of the shop.

Y/N was being heckled by an angry customer who had apparently become displeased with a bouquet. Gwen immediately rushed to Y/N's aid, politely but firmly escorting the heckler out of the store. The confrontation left Y/N shaken and embarrassed, but Gwen gave her words of encouragement.

Gwen: "You handled that situation quite well for a florist."

Y/n: "For a stranger, it was nice of you to help me when you didn't half to..."

Seeing an opportunity for kindness, Y/N presented Gwen with a full set of beautiful flowers and said,'Take it, it's on the house.' Gwen was touched by this gesture and gratefully accepted the bouquet. As Gwen made her way to the checkout counter after selecting her flowers, both she and Y/N laughed with relief at the episode.

The two exchanged numbers before Gwen left the shop. Little did they know that this small exchange would solidify the beginnings of a lasting friendship. From that day forward, Gwen and Y/N would be the best of friends, constantly surprising each other with thoughtful gifts and sweet gestures.

It was the middle of the day when Y/N received the text from Gwen. She had just finished her last test for the semester of her english class... Gwen had said that she was Spider-Woman and excitedly informed Y/N that she was going to visit her after school. Y/N was thrilled for Gwen, yet there was a strange tone to her message.

When Gwen arrived, Y/N asked her if everything was alright. Gwen nodded but then confided in Y/N about a tough battle she had just had with a villain. She told her that she had barely made it out alive, and it had taken every bit of her strength to defeat the villain.

Y/N was in awe of Gwen's strength and courage and marveled at how resilient she was. Gwen thanked her and said she was feeling much better knowing that she had her friend by her side.

Y/N hugged Gwen and went to get her something to eat and a hot shower. She made sure all of Gwen's medical needs were taken care of and then took her to bed so she could rest.

Gwen had been Spider-Woman for a little over a month, and Y/N was proud of her for going through the difficult time with courage and determination. They would have many more adventures together, and Gwen would save the world many more times.
