Hue #25
Layshana’s POV
“I–I told you to leave,” Luchen said in a broken voice while leaning on the hospital bed.
Katatapos lang ng radiotherapy niya and he’s experiencing some after effects.
He didn’t want the fans to know about it, so the management decided that they would be on a hiatus until he had recovered.
“Anong gagawin mo?”
“G-go back to L.A.” Nagmamakaawa ang boses niya. “G-go. I don’t need you.”
“Z-zeshana…” He tried to get up, probably to send me away, but he’s just too weak.
“If you want me to leave, you need to push harder. Perhaps, drag me out of this room and send me to the airport,” paghahamon ko sa kanya. “But in your current state, I doubt you can do that.”
“Z-zeshana.” He tried to shout, but it didn’t work.
I smirked. “See? You cannot even use your voice.
I laughed. “Put more effort, love.
He turned to the other direction, hiding his emotions—the fact that he was about to cry.
“L.A.?” He slowly asked, pertaining to the American Film Institute.
“I dropped out—”
I want to approach him and give him a hug but I was a bit scared that it might hurt. I don’t pity him. I felt regret because I wasn’t there…kaya nandito na ako.
Hindi ako papayag na siya lang mag-isa. Pwede naman na kaming dalawa. Bakit ba kasi ang arte-arte niya?
“I told you…” pagalit na sabi niya.
“Yeah, you told me that I should not lose my dream for you.” I smiled at him.
Never in my life have I imagined that I would be choosing a man over my dreams. My younger self would probably cringe at the thought, but the mature me knows that our dreams can wait. It may take a little longer to have it, but it stays for us.
“You would regret it.”
I shook my head and held his hand. “I won’t regret it, love.”
“Go back…” parang bata na sabi niya. “S-sige na, huh? G-go back. K-kuya Luka told me were supposed to do a film in Hollywood and you—”
