It was always sunny in Heaven.

The grass was always green.

The flowers were always in bloom.

Angels were always smiling.

That was, until that fateful day.

It had been that day, that absolutely dreadful day, that everything- the shining sun, the fresh green grass, the lush immortal spring- dulled. Of course, as soon as the day ended and days passed, everything returned to it's natural state.

Not everyone knew what happened that day; the archangels covered it up.

You were not exactly welcomed into Heaven. Not willingly, that is.

Up to that day, you had been accepted. You were loved, and you were cared for. Angels raised you along side your parents, as a commune full of nothing but endless amounts of love.

However, that was because they didn't truly know what you were- what your mother was. Had they known, you were sure they wouldn't have treated you or her the same.

You.

You were something beyond their comprehension, and that mystery and confusion, the complexity of your very being and the perplexity that shrouded their minds, led to-

Pandemonium. A bedlam of archangels, who would serve their judgement to prevent any possible turmoil, to prevent their deepest fears from coming true.

From even before the day your mother was supposedly "born" in Heaven, those fears had been deeply seeded into each angel's head. And the day they found out, was the day the seed had finally bloomed.

You hadn't done anything wrong, per se. It was only. . . who you were that made the archangels a bit. . . iffy. But they loved you. They cherished you as they did any other child. A land where no child was left unloved, that was where you were.

You looked like an angel. You were a beautiful boy, with beautiful white fluffy wings, and a golden halo like any other angel. You were nice; of course you were. You're father was a lovely man, absolutely.

Your mother, however. . .

She didn't exactly bear white wings and a halo.

But nobody had suspected her to such a thing. Such a devilish thing. But why would they suspect her? Why would anyone suspect anyone in Heaven? It was supposed to be a paradise, a world of no concern? This woman, your mother, she had been living besides them for years. She had found a husband, an angel, and she was a mother. She had you. There was no possible way she could be a devil! No, there was no possibility of it! If she were a devil, that would mean she had simply been toying with them, that she didn't really love anyone. She didn't love her husband and she didn't love you. And you. . . that would mean, you were a devil as well.

Had it all been fake? The friendships she had made, the care she had given others, everything about her. It was fake? B-but that couldn't be true, right? What about her best friend, any of her friends? Her kindness, her generosity, her- her name?! Was it all fake?! What about her was real? Was any part of her real? Was anything she ever told anyone real?

. . . Did you know? Did your father know?

Did you two know she was a devil?

Or were the two of you the same as her?

You were something no one else had quite seen before.

It made the archangels. . .

Upset. They frowned.
