Prince Soma. Wealthy, of high status, incredibly bold.
Also, unbelievably and annoyingly bratty.
Sebastian did not like the prince. Not one bit. He found him highly unpleasant. He was far from dignified. He was spoiled, and it was as if he tried his very best to display just how spoiled he was to every person he came across. Highly unpleasant. Bratty. Bratty. Bratty.
So, when Sebastian spoke of the prince, he felt greatly compelled to make it clear how he felt about him.
You gushed in amazement, clapping your hands together, "A prince, huh? I didn't think they were real! I've only ever read about them in stories! He must be very dignified, and not at all spoiled! I'm sure he must go around being selfless! He's very pleasant and mannerly, I'm sure of it!"
Sebastian deadpanned, placing a gloved hand to his head as to steady himself.
"No, he's bratty."
Then, you deadpanned.
"Bratty?"
"Bratty. Very much so," Sebastian repeated. He sighed before looking down to you with a somewhat genuine smile. You hesitated, but smiled nonetheless. "In fact, I think the two of you may even get along."
You deadpanned again.
". . . Because he is bratty?"
"Oh, yes, very much so. You do have a tendency to attract bratty children, after all. Well, he certainly isn't as bad as the other bratty one."
You let out a noise of realization, a quiet but long, dragged out ohhhh. You had the impression he was calling you bratty. That, apparently and surprisingly, was not the case. You smiled at this. Sebastian was being- well, he wasn't being very nice- but at least he wasn't being rude towards you, so you would consider that somewhat improvement.
You asked him, "You're talking about the lord earl, Mister Sebastian?"
He hummed curiously, a finger to his chin as he looked away distantly to appear innocent, "Well, you are the one who said it. And if you were to believe my lord to be bratty," He shrugged with a smug grin, disingenuous, "I suppose I wouldn't be able to stop you."
"Stop acting like you weren't the one suggesting it!"
What a strange man, Mister Sebastian was. Always managing to be both proper and insulting. . . !
Well. . . mostly insulting.
That is what it had been like after he asked if you wanted his assistance, and after you had excitedly accepted. Just when you thought he was beginning to make some polite conversation, he'd shoot down your expectations by being exceptionally patronizing and lofty, no matter the topic of discussion. Lofty, lofty, lofty, Mister Sebastian was.
The word "lofty" has multiple meanings. In this context, it has two. One of these meanings refers to a person of great height. The other refers to a person that is, to put it nice and curt, but not so much nice as much as "as nice as you were willing to put it", conceded. You found "lofty" to be a rather fitting word for Sebastian, though you would never say it out loud. You were too much of a nice boy to do that.
You and Sebastian had finished off the list of items the Undertaker had sent you out to retrieve. Sebastian noted that the Undertaker had sent you out for far too many things. Sympathetically, he said that you must have had a difficult time, doing it all by yourself.
"It must have been quite a feat for you. How unfortunate."
"Oh, no. There's no need to worry for me! I was actually quite alright-"
