The Undertaker walked you to the carriage. He glanced down at you as you forced yourself to keep moving forward, holding your chin up high. You looked determined, despite how you had just been crying moments before.
As the two of you approached the carriage, Sebastian, who stood just outside its door, looked at you peculiarly. Still, he did not comment on it, knowing there was no time to waste. It was also the fact that the Undertaker held your sword, still in its scabbard, that he could not entirely focus on your appearance. He wondered why you would bring it along. It wasn't as if anything could harm you.
Just before the two of you reached the carriage, you stopped and turned to the Undertaker. It appeared that you decided that spot is where you desired to part ways with him. Although you would miss him greatly, you wanted to be as strong as you could and go off on your own.
"Ready?" He asked you, bending forward slightly to look down at you.
You gave him a firm nod, looking sure of yourself.
"Mhm!"
"Well, alright then," He replied, handing the sword over to you. "Take care of yourself, yes?"
"I will!"
"Good."
With your hands full, you could not give him a final hug. However, you found yourself satisfied despite the unfortunate circumstance when he lifted your hat off and planted a gentle kiss on the crown of your head, before setting it back down.
"Go off, then. Show everyone how spectacular my son's new clothes are!"
You grinned giddily, giggling to yourself and nodding again. You hurried off towards the carriage, making your way to Sebastian. The two of you greeted each other again. The Undertaker, from a distance, could see the two of you share of couple of words with each other. Sebastian opened the carriage door for you, and you quickly stepped inside.
The Undertaker's grin fell downward slightly at the sight.
There you went. You were off.
He turned away for the shop. There was nothing for him to do now. He had done all that he could. The last thing he had to do was watch you disappear, and it was now done.
"GOODBYE, PAPA!"
His eyes widened underneath his hair, and he quickly turned to the carriage.
There you were, holding the door wide open, presumably having stopped Sebastian from closing it, telling by his surprise.
You gave him a big wave with an even bigger smile.
"BYEEEE!!!"
He stared at you in shock. Then, his grin returned. He grabbed the brim of his hat and tipped it in farewell.
With one more smile, you settled back into the carriage, and Sebastian closed the door behind you. He looked to the Undertaker for a moment before thanking him and bidding him a farewell.
The Undertaker stared at him with a grin that wasn't completely genuine.
"Take care of him, master butler."
He could see Sebastian give him a closed eyed smile, placing a gloved hand to his chest.
"You have my word," The noxious beast promised. "No harm shall come to him while in our care."
The Undertaker gave no reply. He only watched as Sebastian made his way to the front of the carriage.
He stood there in silence, watching as the carriage began to leave. Further and further, his son went. You disappeared into that abyss of a night, that dark ocean.
