The traffic was huge due to people leaving their houses to go to the big event to celebrate. The three friends were in the car, sitting in the back seat, and Caio's father, Marcos, asks Luis:

"How are your parents? Are they okay?" Marcos asked.

"They are, yes. And you guys?" Luis replied.

"That's good, we are too," the father said.

Caio was so excited and anxious that he said:

"Man, tonight is going to be amazing! I can't wait to get there!" Caio said.

"It's already amazing," Luis said. "Thanks for inviting me."

"No problem, man! The best is yet to come," Caio said.

"I know, but anyway, I appreciate you guys caring about me," Luis said.

"That's what friends do," Caio said.

"The true ones, you mean," Luis said. "I have met many friends online and whenever I'm feeling down and need to vent or talk, they disappear."

"That's because they're not your real friends," Matheus said.

"Yeah, your real friends are us, man!" Caio said.

"I know, but I also wanted to meet someone. A friend who would understand me. A friend like my grandma was. Just like you guys, who understand each other," Luis said.

"And you will, when the time is right," Caio said.

"Why does everyone always say that?" Luis asked.

Caio's father joined the conversation.

"Because it's a fact, real life works differently from movies or books. It's slower, you know?" Marcos said.

"I think so," Luis said.

"Man, great things are coming! Believe me!" Caio said.

"You know what, you guys are right, what matters is every moment spent with the people who are important to you. And you guys are more than friends, you're my family," Luis said.

"I'm touched," Matheus said.

"That's it, man!" Caio said.

The car moves a bit and stops. Luis then looks at a statue of a German Shepherd dog.

"Ramzis?" Luis said.

"Hi?" Marcos said. Upon noticing the statue, Marcos told the story. "Ah, Ramzis, well he was a hero of the 80s. When there was a major flood, the hill collapsed, taking several houses with it, leaving thousands of people trapped in debris. Due to the heavy rain and thunder, the dogs seemed afraid, but not Ramzis, he continued until the last victim was rescued."

"Man, he was more than a great hero, he was legendary!" Matheus said.

"I noticed," Luis said smiling.

"There was a fire on a farm in this area. And it seems like some Golden Retriever puppies from a vendor got trapped and the dog noticed. So, he disobeyed orders and entered the burning farm. And he rescued the puppies. But he couldn't get out in time and the farm collapsed on him!" Marcos said.

"I know this part, they say a scarecrow came to life and Ramzis fought bravely to defeat it," Luis said. "They even connected the case to the bodies found around the farm."

"Well, that's just a legend. The fire probably started because someone forgot a lit candle. It used to be very common back then," Marcos said.

"See, man? Not everything means there are monsters or supernatural creatures involved," Caio said.

"It may be, but it's still an interesting creepypasta," Luis said.

"Boy, you need to convert yourself," Marcos said.

Both start laughing in the car.
