The streets were deserted, except for the car that was chasing Pingo. He felt apprehensive because the car had no license plate. Considering the bizarre stories of the city, Pingo knew something was wrong. He quickly hid in closed construction sewage pipes on an abandoned street.
The car stopped, and the sound of the door slamming made his heart race.
"I need to warn Buck and the others!" he thought out loud.
He moved between the pipes with extreme caution but ended up stepping on a beer can, making noise and revealing his location. He heard voices and soon realized he had been discovered. Pingo ran, managing to escape while the aliens quickly got into the black car and sped away.
Meanwhile, in the abandoned lot, Spike found Tyler almost falling asleep standing up while waiting for Pingo.
"Pingo, where are you?" the cat asked himself. "Why is it taking so long to arrive?"
Spike decided to take the opportunity to scare Tyler by saying:
"So this is where you're hiding? You're a coward!"
"Why don't you leave me alone?" Tyler questioned.
"You started this," Spike said.
"I can't tell you what I don't know!" Tyler replied.
"You're lying!" Spike retorted.
"Dude, it's New Year's. I don't want to start the year fighting with you" Tyler tried to ease the situation.
"Then you shouldn't have started," Spike said with a threatening tone.
"Look at our friends, they're happy and enjoying themselves. Do you really want to ruin it all?" Tyler tried to convince.
"No," Spiker finally gave in.
"Truce then?" Tyler said.
"Fine, but don't think I'll forget what you did," Spiker warned.
