Luis and his friends had just finished the boat attraction, all excited and full of adrenaline. Matheus was thrilled, while Caio was already thinking about the next thrilling ride to try.
"That was amazing!" exclaimed Matheus.
"Aside from the motion sickness, it was actually fun," said Luis, still a bit disoriented from the experience.
"But we haven't even gone on the extreme one yet, dude!" said Caio.
"Is there anything more extreme than being stuck in a giant spinning bowl with Christian music playing?" joked Luis.
"Of course there is, man! The Bomb Rope!" exclaimed Caio.
"Bomb Rope?" asked Luis, a bit confused.
"Come on, dude!" Caio grabbed Luis by the arm and dragged him through the crowd to the Bomb Rope line.
Luis could only watch in shock.
"This is called freefall! And I refuse to go on this thing!"
"Bomb Rope, man!" Caio insisted.
"Just go, stop being a party pooper. It'll be fun!" pushed Matheus.
"I don't know," said Luis, unsure.
"Have we ever lied to you?" asked Matheus.
"No, but it doesn't seem safe," replied Luis.
"You're just scared," teased Matheus.
"Of course not!" answered Luis, slightly offended.
Some time later, the three friends were being pushed off a giant zipline with ropes falling all the way to the ground. Caio and Matheus were excited, screaming and having a blast, while Luis was in panic, screaming desperately.
Upon reaching the ground, Luis was clearly scared and trembling, while his friends were smiling and celebrating.
"That was awesome, man!" said Caio, excited.
"I want to go again," said Matheus, laughing.
"I'll pass," said Luis, still with wobbly legs. "They should call this attraction wobbly legs."
"Can't believe it, man," Caio laughed.
Matheus went back in line, and Luis answered his mom's phone call.
"Son, it's getting late. We agreed to meet at 11 pm to watch the fireworks together," his mom said.
"I completely forgot," said Luis, worried. "But I'll go now."
"Aren't you going to stay until the end, dude?" asked Caio.
"I can't. I promised my mom I would be back before 11 pm," said Luis.
"Oh man," agreed Caio.
"Let Matheus know for me," said Luis, saying goodbye.
"Okay. But are you going to call an Uber at this time of night?" asked Caio.
"No, I'll just take the bus. I know the way home... okay?" said Luis, trying to sound confident. "Don't worry!"
"It's up to you," said Caio, giving a farewell smile.
Luis walked away, but called Caio back.
"Caio! Let's make plans with Matheus to meet up more often. We can't let the group drift apart again."
"You got it! " said Caio, waving to Luis as he walked to the bus stop.
