The New Era

New Republic Senate, Hosnian Prime,

Senator Elshire was discussing the attack on Eriadu as mentioned by his associate Elia Kane and he just learned about the base's destruction. He then proceeded to file charges against former New Republic pilot Carson Teva for orchestrating the attack on Eriadu to continue his illegal investigation in the Outer Rim.

"Chancellor Mothma," Elshire said. "A tragedy has occurred with the loss of an Imperial Remnant base that has sprung us into a Cold War due to the reckless actions of Carson Teva."

"This is false," Teva said. "The Imperials were beginning a massive cloning operation that could put the New Republic in danger. We need to take action. For I also found out that Taloh Matarrin is in charge of this project along with the extraction of Imperial warlords and Matarrin will stop at nothing until he succeeds."

"Matarrin?" Elshire asked. "Taloh Matarrin has been confirmed killed on Nam Chorios long ago. Besides you have no evidence to prove that he has returned nor you can prove that there was a cloning operation taking place. It has come to my attention that Teva has been interfering with Outer Rim affairs and must be arrested for violation of our defense laws."

"Cast your votes," Mothma said in an uneasy tone. 

The senate put their votes in and Mothma was given the results and then stood up on the podium.

"It appears that the majority has voted in favor of prosecuting former Captain Carson Teva," Mothma said sadly. "He will face a sentence of twelve years in prison for violating our defense policies, interfering in outer rim affairs, and bringing the galaxy to a state of Cold War."

Several New Republic soldiers placed binders on Teva and escorted him out of the senate chamber. Elshire then gave a small smile and the session then ended. Elshire then returned to his office and made sure that the room was clear and he activated his holoprojector. Kane and Taloh then appeared as a hologram.

"Senator Elshire," Taloh said. "Has Captain Teva been arrested for his actions?"

"Indeed," Elshire replied. "The Senate has no idea about our plans to begin our military buildup and to construct our new fleet."

"Not to mention that the Amnesty Program has not received new members," Kane said. "We are continuing to liberate them and make sure that they serves us well."

"Excellent work," Taloh said. "Destroy all evidence about our activities in the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions. Now what has the Shadow Council reported following the attack?"

"Not much," Kane said as Senator Elshire started purging the data. "All I know is that Captain Pellaeon would like to speak to you."

"Very well," Taloh said. "Continue your work, and make sure that the people support the Centrist Party."

"Yes my lord," Elshire said as he and Kane bowed to Taloh.

Mount Tantiss,

As the call ended, Taloh started walking from his office to the briefing room of the modified Mount Tanitss as its reconstruction was complete. He then arrived at the briefing room and was greeted by Pellaeon and the rest of the Shadow Council.

"Lord Matarrin," Pellaeon said. "I see that the attack on Eriadu has made the New Republic more aware of our activities in the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions."

"As I said," Taloh snarled. "The New Republic has become more bold in their efforts to hunt us down especially former Captain Carson Teva. But now that he has been arrested, it will be more difficult for the New Republic to learn of our intentions."

"And what of Project Necromancer and the Dark Trooper Project?" Brendol asked. "Primarily due to the fact that ever since you and Lama Su have taken over, the New Republic have grown more suspicious and even took Mandalorians to disrupt not only your experiments but also from the late Moff Gideon."

"As Gideon stated before," Taloh replied. "You are the one who is interested in cloning. With that said, I gave the former Prime Minsiter authority over the project and also to reconstruct Mount Tantiss."

"I have also received a report from one of your associates on Dathomir that Grand Admiral Thrawn has been found by Lady Elsbeth in a distant galaxy and will rendezvous with you on Dathomir," Pellaeon said. "You better hope that Lady Silri and Lady Elsbeth speak the truth and ensure that he does return."

"Captain, Silri knows what she is talking about," Taloh said. "In fact I am departing for Dathomir since she told me that Thrawn will be arriving soon."

"At least this could help subdue all of this chaos," Brendol said.

"Indeed," Taloh said. "Which is why I will depart immediately and we must prepare for Phase Three."

"Understood," Pellaeon said. "You have my full support for your projects."

"Very well," Taloh said. "The time has come to rid the Galaxy of the New Republic once and for all. Long Live the Empire!"

"Long Live the Empire!" Everyone said in unison.

As Taloh stood up from his seat, he could not wait to witness the fall of the hated New Republic and the rebirth of the late Galactic Empire with Grand Admiral Thrawn fighting alongside him as the Heir to the Empire and the leader of the Empire of the Hand.
