Chapter 31
Blair's POV
"W-what" I freeze in my chair. As I stare at my assistant the door behind her opens.
"Hi beautiful" she says to me as she walks in. I remain silent. I can not process that Drew is actually standing in front of me right now, in my office.
"Can you get her some water?" Drew tells my assistant politely after seeing my expression.
"No!" I shout suddenly. "Um sorry, no that won't be necessary Alex, thank you" my assistant excuses herself and closes the door behind her.
"Nice office" Drew looks around then takes a seat in one of the chairs in front of my desk. "You look really good" she smiles.
"I know. What are you doing here Drew" I spit back with a serious tone and expression. She can not be doing this to me right now. It has been years since I last saw her. I will not let her think she can just walk in here like nothing.
She laughs. "Nice to know you are still the same"
"Actually I am very different but you wouldn't know that since you've been gone for three years"
"I know-"
"What do you want Drew?" I cut her off. Her smile fades away.
"I just wanted to see you"
"Well you have seen me. Now you can leave and not come back. You are good at that so it shouldn't be too hard for you to do" I tell her and continue to what I was working on before she walked in.
"Blair I'm sor-"
"It is Ms. Vanderbilt" I correct her. "And I don't want your apologies. You are three years too late for that"
"So you aren't going to even let me talk?" she is getting frustrated.
"No. Now get out before I have to call security" I get up and stand in front of her. She rises from her chair.
"You know that your security can't take me"
"Leave. Now!"
"I'm not leaving till you let me talk to you"
I walk over to the back of my desk and reach inside my side drawer.
"Get out now" I tell her.
"Blair do you even know how to use that" she smiles. I take off the safety and make sure it is loaded.
After everything that happened me and my sister got lessons in self defense and how to use a gun. We both have one in our desk drawer. Our parents knew a lot of powerful people and by getting arrested they made a lot of enemies. We wanted to make sure to be safe or at least be able to do something if someone comes and tries something. I just never thought I would be pointing my gun at Drew.
"Do you want to find out?" I ask sarcastically. Drew isn't even frightened a little bit. Instead she walks close to me and lines her head to the point of my gun.
"Go ahead then. Shoot me"
"W-what?" I am thrown off.
"Shoot me" she repeats. "If you hate me that much then just make sure I am never in your life again because that is the only way that I won't stop trying to see you"
I don't move or speak. I don't want her to think I am still some weak girl she saved, but I don't think I can actually pull the trigger. No matter how much hurt she caused me.
"Blair you either shoot me now or put your gun down"
"Fine" I tell her and lower my gun in anger. But just when she thinks she is in the clear I take a swing at her and my fist connects with her face. I bust her lip open and she steps back from the impact. Guess a little hurt I can do.
