Chapter 39
Blair's POV
Throughout my pregnancy me and Drew both continued to live our regular day to day lives, but once I got closer to my due date I stopped working to not be so stressed. We found out that we are having twins, but we don't know the genders. Drew just had to be an over achiever.
I am about a week away from my due date and I can not wait till these babies are out of me. I am so tired. Pregnancy is tough. Luckily for me, Drew has been amazing. Anything I need she is there. She has gotten me every craving that I have had at any time that I want it. She has also dealt with my crazy mood swings really well.
One of the days that it was bad just the sight of her pissed me off. I made her leave me alone all day and also sleep on the couch. However, when I woke up the next morning and got out of bed I saw her sleeping on the floor near the door. It made me feel even more bad about the way I treated her, but also made me love her even more than I possibly could.
Once I got to eight months she began to talk to our children more. She would lay close to my stomach and speak to them. I thought it was funny. She also started playing music against my belly, I don't know if that does anything but at times it would make them stop kicking me. I know that Drew is going to be an amazing mother and I can't wait to have our children with us.
"Shit"
"What?" Drew looks at me with concern as we are laying in bed watching a movie.
"I think my water just broke"
"Seriously?" her eyes widen.
"Well I'm pretty sure I didn't just piss myself" I respond and she gets up quickly, grabbing our pre-packed bag and helping me get up. We rush to the car and head to the hospital. I don't know how we got here so fast but we made it safely.
Once we were there I went into labor about an hour later. Both sides of the family were in the waiting room. Because I was close to my due date and they didn't want to miss the births, Drew's family actually took a break from working to be here. Her parents and all her siblings were here. My aunt, Kendall, my sister, and my brother were all waiting as well.
After some gruesome pain and about forty minutes we had our beautiful baby girls. Although they were twins I could see a bit of a difference. They were both beautiful. The moment that Drew saw them the tears fell from her eyes. There was no weeping or sounds. Her face only displayed amazement but the tears were inevitable.
Once the nurses attended to our children they handed one to me and the other to Drew.
"Thank you" Drew whispers and pecks my lips as she sits next to me on the bed. We look at our children with nothing but unconditional love.
Our family soon piles into the room not being able to wait anymore. The tears from my aunt, Sloane, and Kendall are almost immediate once they see the babies. They all take their turns holding the twins. Drew's parents began to get emotional when they finally held both the girls.
"Is that a tear coming from Callan's eyes?" I ask sarcastically. I can clearly see a tear falling. She is standing close to Victoria, who is holding one of the twins, admiring her.
"Fuck off" Callan immediately replies and we all laugh.
"Have you picked names yet?" Mrs. Kane asks.
"We have" Drew replies. "Each of us picked a name"
"This one" I refer to the twin Victoria is holding, "is Stellan Grey Vanderbilt-Kane" we named her after Drew's mom, Stellan. The tears from Mrs. Kane fell as soon as we told her the name.
"I wanted my daughter to be named after a great role model and loving person. The best mom someone could ask for" I tell her and she hugs me tightly. I know how much Drew's mom means to her and she is one of the best people that my daughter could have in her life. She has also become a mom to me since she found out about me and Drew.
"And this one..." Drew walks over and stands in front of Kendall who is holding the other twin, "...is Sterling Kendall Vanderbilt-Kane"
"Wait what?" Kendall's eyes dart up at Drew then at me.
"I thought it would be perfect to name our daughter after someone who is very important to us and who will always protect her no matter what, like how she protected her mother" Drew smiles at me then at Kendall.
Although we both decided that each of us got to pick a name for one of our children we both agreed on the names. And once I knew that Drew wanted to name one of the twins after Kendall, I had no disagreements. I knew Kendall's reaction would be great too.
"W-why are you d-doing this to me" Kendall is barely able to form her sentence as she is crying heavily, making us all laugh a bit.
"Well damn one of you better name your kid after me because I am feeling left out" Killian says to his siblings. We all laugh.
"Sorry I'm late I came as fast as I could" Presley says as she runs into the room. "Why is Kendall crying like she is the one that gave birth?"
"We named one of the twins after her" Drew says.
"Oh, okay yeah I understand now" she walks over and starts to admire the twins.
Drew walks over to me and sits beside me on the bed. We both look at our family as they hold our daughters. I can't help but let my emotions show in the form of tears seeing this moment.
"What's wrong?" Drew asks me, seeing that tears are falling.
"Nothing, I'm just really happy" I look at her. "I never thought that I would have a family like this. It is everything that someone could ask for. It is perfect"
"It is and it is ours" we both smile to each other. Our foreheads leaning against each other.
"Oh god take her back I think she just pooped on me" Killian gives Sterling back to Kendall.
"That is Kendall junior" she replies, making us all laugh.
"Perfect?" Drew laughs looking at me.
"Yes"
