Chapter 6: Born in Chaos (Pt1)

Later that night.

I stood by the fire with Clem and the group, while Luke and Mike stood by the gate, talking to Bonnie about our escape plan.

Clem looked up at me with uncertainty. " Lee... Do you really think we can get out of here? Carvers crazy, he killed Reggie. I didn't really like him but he didn't deserve to die that way. Plus he took the fall for us." She said looking up at me with her huge eyes.

" Don't say that, sweet pea. Ofcourse we're getting out of here... Tonight. Carver might be crazy, but I'll fuckin' kill him before I let him put you in danger." I reassured her placing my hand on her shoulder.

Clem smiled and nodded. " Okay, Lee. I trust you." She replied before turning back around just as Kenny spoke.

" What the hell is takin' them so long?" He questioned impatiently.

" Relax Kenny." I sighed causing him to look at me opening his mouth to speak, but Mike and Luke turned from the gate and made their way back over to us.

" Well? What did she say?" Kenny questioned as soon as they say down.

" She said she can get us out of the pen if we can get the PA system going. Second she hears it, she'll run over and spring us." Mike responded causing Kenny to smirk.

" That's great ." Rebecca said.

" Hell yeah it is. That was my plan from the beginning." Kenny boasted.

" No, it's not great. " Luke shook his head.

" You can't be serious." Kenny frowned in confusion.

Luke looked at us with a sad expression. " Look, I know part of this is my fault, I.. I know. I was hungry, I got reckless tryin' to steal some food and I got caught..." Luke explained.

" Umm... Can we even trust Bonnie?" Clem asked looking around with a frown.

" We got no reason not to trust her. I mean, If she wanted us caught, we'd be caught. But tonight.. tonight is risky." Luke replied shaking his head.

Nick sighed agreeing with Luke. " Risky? Did you see what that sonuvabitch just did? Look the plan works. Nothing needs to change. It's all set up. The hard part is done. This guy's fuckin' crazy. Who knows what he'll do next?" Mike argued.

" I know that, But that herd's getting close, they'll be here any minute. Faster when we sound that alarm. " Luke explained.

" We already have a plan for that. We will fill you in later. We leave tonight. The plan don't change." Kenny said looking around. Everyone nodded agreeing with him except Luke and Nick.

Luke sighed. " Alright then, what now?" He asked.

" We get the hell outta here." Kenny stated obviously.

" Like now, now?" Luke asked unsure about the plan.

" Yes!" Rebecca snapped glaring at him.

" We can't just go out there with no destination. Where are we gonna go? Ya know, just in case we all get split up?" I asked wondering why no one else was thinking about this.

" You took the words right outta my mouth pal." Kenny smiled.

" We could meet out at Parker 's Run. " Mike suggested.

" What's Parker's Run?" I questioned.

" It's a Civil War site a few miles north. Tourist trap. Got signs all over. Just follow the road." He explained.
