"Why do you have so much footage of that party?" Niki asked, looking intently at the screen as it showed Yeseul laughing with Sunoo as they discuss something while Niki was off somewhere around that time. "I didn't even know you brought your camera."
Yeseul fought the urge to smile as she watched how happy her past self looked as she busily conversed with the friend she has not seen for so long. From all his friends, it was Sunoo she got along well the most because he was the one she always saw and the one she was least intimidated to speak with even though the rest had been nothing but kind to her. When she broke up with Niki, though it was against her will, she had to cut ties with all of his six friends because if she didn't do it in her own, she quite thought they would be the ones to do it themselves. And the last thing she wanted around that time was to break her already smashed heart.
"Is your memory so bad that you can't remember the camera I brought that day?" Yeseul scoffs. "It's been a while since I've seen your friends. I'm starting to really miss them just by watching." She sighed, as she continued to watch the camera being passed around by the boys.
"They miss you too, you know. Every now and then, they would ask me how you were as if I could answer that question." He says, crossing his arms and leaning on his chair all while he kept his eyes on the video. "You didn't have to cut ties with them just because we broke up."
Yeseul scoffs. "They were your friends first. I don't think it would've been good if I had remained their friend considering I'm no longer your girlfriend." She reasoned as she watched the video turn black, indicating that the video had come to an end.
The video proceeds to the next video on its own and her breath hitches when she realizes what comes next after this particular film. The last month of their pretend relationship, the month they allocated to discuss and build up the eventual end to their relationship was the time of her life that never seem to escape her mind. She always remembered those days, denying that she was enjoying the affection she gained from him as they paraded their pretend relationship. She denied enjoying the late night conversations, speaking with him about everything she couldn't easily say to anyone. She denied the uneasiness in her whenever she's reminded that at some point, everything she had to do with him would soon come to an end and they would go back to being what they really are. Strangers who have known each other the longest.
