Cold Ceo (Taekook)

Chapter 6

As morning light filters through the curtains, kook stirs awake. He blinks, momentarily confused, before becoming acutely aware of a warm weight against him.

Tae is curled into his side, one arm draped across kook's waist sleeping peaceful with a slight pout on his lips.

Kook: "Cute".

After a few minutes, he freed himself from tae's embrace and headed to the bathroom for his morning routine.

When he emerges, fully dressed in his  business attire. He found tae awake and sitting up in bed, his hair adorably mussed.

Tae: "Good morning, Jungkook" voice husky with sleep.

Kook: "Morning". said trying not to blush but failed.

As Tae takes his turn in the bathroom, kook finds himself waiting, eager to go downstairs together.

When Tae emerged, freshly groomed, they make their way downstairs side by side.

The dining room is already occupied by kook's family. As they take their seats, maids begin serving their meal.

Tae: "Good morning, everyone".

Kook's family ignored Tae's greetings. Kook feels a surge of anger, his fist clenching under the table. The family then turns to greet kook, pointedly ignoring Tae's presence.

Mrs Jeon: "Good morning, son".

Mr. Jeon: "Good morning, Jungkook".

Tina: "Good Morning, brother".

Kook remains silent and focuses on his food.

After breakfast, kook heads out to his car, mind already on the workday ahead. He's about to get in when he hears Tae calling his name.

Tae: "Jungkook. Wait".

Kook: *I look back only to find my tae coming toward me*.

Tae: "Have a good day. Take care of yourself, okay? Don't overwork or stress too much", said softly with a smile.

Kook is momentarily stunned. It's the first time anyone has expressed such genuine concern for his well-being.

Kook: "Ok", said softly.

Tae pulls him closer by the waist. Their eyes lock, the world fading around them. With tender care, Taehyung places a soft kiss on kook's forehead. Kook's eyes flutter closed, savoring the moment.

As they part, both men are smiling, a faint blush coloring kook's cheeks as he quickly gets into his car

Back inside, Tae gathers his things for work. He's headed out when Mrs. Jeon intercepts him, her voice cold and dismissive.

Mrs Jeon: "Where do you think you're going, boy?", asked rudely.

Tae: "Mom I......

Mrs Jeon: "Don't call me that. I'm not your mom. It's 'Ma'am' to you." shout.

Tae: "Ok mam".

Mrs Jeon: "Good, now speak where are you going?".

Tae: "Cafe".

Mrs Jeon: "What will people say when they learn the husband of the world's most powerful CEO is nothing but a common cafe worker?", said harshly.

Tae: "But... you knew this when you arranged the marriage. You said it didn't matter what work I did.", said politely.

Mrs Jeon: "Whatever, poor boy. Don't argue with me" rolled her eyes.

As Mrs. Jeon walked away, tae went to his work.
