Chapter 8

The next day, kook was in his office, but he couldn't concentrate on his work. His mind keeps drifting to thoughts of Tae.

Kook: "What's wrong with me? Why can't I stop thinking about him?", muttered to himself.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. He quickly composes himself, slipping back into his cold, professional demeanor.

Kook: "Come in", said coldly.

His secretary steps in, looking slightly nervous.

Secretary: "Sir, there's someone here to see you."

Kook: "Who?". asked, raising an eyebrow.

Secretary: "Sir, his name is Kim .....",the secretary began but was quickly cut off.

Kook: "Does he have an appointment?",
demanded

Secretary: "No sir".

Kook: "Then why did you come to me? You know I don't meet anyone without an appointment!" he shouted.

Secretary: No, sir, but he says he knows you and he is your hu—", the secretary tried to explain but was interrupted again.

Kook: "The whole world knows me, so you will bring anyone to meet me".

Just then, his phone rang. He glanced at it and saw it was his Tae calling. his expression softens immediately as he answers.

Kook: "Hello", answered softly.

The secretary's eyes widened. It was the first time kook had spoken so softly to someone.

Tae: "Koo, how long will it take you?", asked whining.

Kook: "For what"?.

Tae: "To Invite me in. How long have I been standing outside".

Kook: "What", shouted.

Tae: "What happened? Why are you shouting?", asked softly.

Kook: "Nothing. Wait one minute, Okay?".

Tae: "Okay".

Kook hung up the phone and glared at the secretary.

Kook: "Who came to meet me?", asked coldly.

Secretary: "Kim Taehyung sir".

Kook: "Then why are you still standing here? Bring him in immediately!", shouted.

Secretary: "Yes sir", scared.

Kook: "Idiot", muttered.

A few minutes later, the secretary returned with Tae.

Kook: "Get out,"  said coldly to the secretary.

Once the secretary left, kook looked at Tae, who was pouting angrily.

Kook: 'Adorable', thought

"What happened", ask coldly

Tae: "You didn't want to meet me?"  asked sadly.

Kook: "Why are you saying this?" he replied.

Tae: "I've been standing outside for so long. I thought you didn't want to meet me," said softly.

Kook: "I was just busy with work. I didn't know you were here."

Tae: "Okay, no problem", replied with his boxy smile making kook chuckled.

Tae: "Have you eaten yet?" concerned.

Kook: "No".

Tae: "You must be hungry. Let's go", said with concern.

Kook felt butterflies in his stomach at Tae's concern

Kook: "Where?" confused.

Tae: "Office canteen", he suggested.

Kook: "No, i don't go there", said coldly.

Tae: "Ok, so I can ask for food here. That's okay, isn't it?", asked softly.

Kook nodded. After a while, the secretary came into the office with food

Tae: "Thankyou", smiling.

The secretary smiled back and kook glared at him.

Kook: "You can go now", said rudely.

They both started eating, talking about random things. Kook was very glad Tae came to see him. He loved it when Tae showed concern for him.
