♧♧♧

Walking through the home she noticed all the white asymmetrical things. Everything was cut in a way that appeared futuristic. Walking past the kitchen she felt the hard leather of the couch and scoffed," This couch is the worst, not comfy at all."

There were three doors, one leading to the bathroom, she ignored that one. The next to a bedroom. It was sparse of anything save a bed and wardrobe. He had a total of ten outfits, all the same, boring brown and white suit. Five matching pair of brown leather shoes sat in a line on the floor," How boring, no taste at all."

In the office Astra rummaged around but found nothing, she wasn't exactly sure what she'd been looking for. Information about his agenda perhaps. She was about to walk away when one of the floorboards in the office creaked.

Looking down at her boot she tried it again and found it out of place. Bending down Astra opened the board and found only a bag with some electronic chips inside. Bringing the baggie close she stared at the small innocuous devices," Surely this is important."

Tugging the board back into place Astra shoved the bag into her satchel and left. Or she would have had the sound of a door creaking open not stopped her where she stood. Rotted to the floor," You sure he's gone?"

There was a scoffing sound and a voice she recognised called out," Positive that old bat is at the gala as we speak."

So he's neither at his house nor the lab. Astra sunk into the shadows before either of the dark mages could sense her presence and disappeared into a plume of smoke and mirrors. Landing on the pavement outside the apartment complex Astra turned to look for this gala.

Lifting into the sky she flew around, her wings glittering in the moonlight. Her lacrima buzzed," He's at the gala. It's the central building, get there quick."

Grey hung up before she even had a chance of confirming. Clicking her tongue she changed course and flew to the centre. Astra didn't have to look far. The centre building was lit up and she knew it had to be where big smuck-ups went to party.

Looking down, however, Astra realised with annoyance she wasn't dressed for the occasion. Nothing said out of place like a girl not dressed for a party. Looking down she slipped into a boutique that'd closed for the night and rummaged around finding a gown she deemed suitable.

The dress was a simple black ensemble with a sweetheart neckline that plunged a little too low for her liking. The fabric clung to her curves accentuating her hips and splayed out around her legs like a waterfall. A slit at the top of her thigh made movement easy and she shrugged on a black silk shrug and put her feet in a pair of thick-wedged black pumps.

There was a blearing out on the streets but she just ignored it.

This is an announcement by I-island security system.

Astra admired herself in the mirror and felt the skirts, soft against her fingertips. She felt oddity pretty in this getup.

I-island - the residential area will now be on high alert

" So pretty, I hope Gray's suited up." Astra thought mindlessly. It'd be a bother if he showed up half dressed.

All residents and tourists are asked to go back to their homes or hotels. Anyone out ten minutes from now may be arrested without warning

On the way out of the changing room, Astra snatch a pair of black gloves that rode all the way to her elbows. Untying her hair she let the tresses fall around her shoulders and as she weaved through the mannequins littering the storefront she grabbed a necklace here, a bangle there.
