Lloyd painfully walked out of the sliding doors and spotted the distinct lime car parked a little to the right. He hobbled down the pavement and pulled open the door and sat down with relief.

"Sooo... How was the party last night?" Koko leaned on the steering wheel. Lloyd avoided her eyes as best as he could.

"It was fine, mum, let's go home," Lloyd closed the door and pretended to check his phone. Koko raised her eyebrows.

"Ok, for my baby's first party, I'm expecting more than 'it was fine' from you," Koko pried, leaning forward. Lloyd felt his face grow hot.

"I-- I dunno, it was good, I guess, nothing big happened," Lloyd stuffed his phone in his pocket and crossed his arms, looking away.

"Nothing big, you say? Did you get drunk? What about your friends?" Koko started the car. Lloyd shuddered.

"Ugh, don't remind me, I might throw up in the car, just warning you," Lloyd gave her a grin and she laughed.

"Gotta have expected that. Any funny photos or videos from last night?" Koko pulled the car out onto the road, giving a glance at Lloyd.

"I... I don't know actually, I haven't checked my phone and I didn't ask the others about that,"

"Ah so, everyone was gathered at Kai and Nya's then, yeah?"

"Well, it was the closest to the party out of all of our places, plus no parents around to ask awkward questions, mum," Lloyd joked. Koko rolled her eyes.

"Right right, fine."

There was a pause in their conversation, Koko out of questions and Lloyd not willing to speak in fear of admitting that something did happen last night.

At a red light, Koko looked over Lloyd suspiciously. Lloyd looked down himself, confused at what she saw. Then it hit him.

Oh god, did she see the--

"Why exactly are you wearing Kai's clothes?" Koko questioned. A wave of relief washed over Lloyd.

"Uh, I lost my jacket and wearing a singlet around the place felt a little strange so Kai lent me his hoodie..." Lloyd trailed off.

Kai.

Lloyd looked down sadly. Koko was taken aback by his look and glanced between him and the road as she continued down the street.

"Maybe now isn't the best time to ask, but how are Kai and Nya doing? Has Kai's job given him a raise yet or do I need to get Garmadon to talk to his boss?" Koko winked at Lloyd but he only slunk into his seat more.

"They're... fine, I suppose. Kai doesn't talk much about his job..." Lloyd murmured. Koko nodded slowly. She turned into the car park with a sigh.
