Kai and Nya snuck around the side of the school building.

"Ugh, mud," Kai complained under his breath and Nya rolled her eyes.

"Would you rather bump into Chad's group?" She turned back to him.

"To give him a good punch in the gut, yeah," They stepped into the small patch of grass between bushes.

"Oh, hey guys! Sup Kai," Cole called them over. The others turned and gave smiles to Kai and Nya approaching them. Lloyd glanced but was afraid to accidentally make eye contact with Kai.

"Hey," Kai replied neutrally.

As Kai and Nya sat down, the tension grew thicker. Kai and Lloyd averted each other's eyes.

"Maybe... you guys should... go and talk to each--"

"No!" Kai interrupted Jay before he finished then felt a little awkward afterwards. "Uh-- Sorry, I just, uhm, there's nothing to talk about really..." Kai looked at the floor guiltily.

Lloyd gulped down his feelings. Koko had done a good job convincing Lloyd to talk to Kai, so he had already thought about every last detail of how the conversation would go over the last couple of days, and he was desperate to act it out, but Kai seemed to have other ideas.

"Yeah, it happened, and that's it. The only problem is... the whole... online situation..." Lloyd said shakily, thinking back to the clips he had seen of the Good Morning Ninjago hosts discussing the original post and reply.

The ninja looked between each other with defeated gazes.

"Fine, but then you can't be awkward about all of it," Nya bargained with them. Kai and Lloyd stayed silent.
