The First Wish Mission

The girls all burst into the gazebo, out of breath from running the whole way from Miss Wright's house. Nova immediately began waving all the girls in.

"Hurry, hurry! In, in, in!" Nova urged, bouncing in place. Faye rolled her eyes in fond exasperation and ruffled her sister's hair as she passed.

"The Wish Orbs aren't going anywhere, Novs." Faye said as she headed inside. Nova immediately fixed her hair back and folded her arms.

"The more time it takes for us to get inside and see which one of us is the Wish Granter, the less time that Wish Granter will have to grant the wish! The clock is ticking, girls! Chop, chop!" Nova yelled. Callisto gave Nova a playful shove as she passed.

"Relax, No. Lyra literally just recieved the vision back at Miss Wright's house and it took us all of twenty minutes to get here." Callisto said. Juno jumped over the threshold and skipped into the room.

"Twenty minutes isn't gonna kill anything, No." Juno said as she bounced over to Callisto and stood beside her as the other girls began gathering in the room. Halo walked past Nova.

"She is right though, every second counts." Halo said. Vela nodded as she found a spot to stand in.

"So, let's not waste anymore time. I'll go push the button." Vela said, turning to do so only to see that Halo had beaten her to it. Halo gave her a thumbs up as she pushed the button. Vela simply shrugged and went back to standing around and smoothed down her sweater. Skye linked her arm with Nova's and tugged her into the room.

"Come on, No-No! Let's see who's going on the first Wish Mission!" Skye said, barely able to contain her excitement. The room was washed in the sparkly, soft blue light, just like last time, and when it cleared, the room was once again a Wish-House. Juno immediately collapsed into one of the chairs, the chair adjusting to her size and let out a happy sigh. Callisto rolled her eyes and smirked, hands stuffed into her jacket pockets.

"Comfy?" Callisto asked, a rare teasing tone in her voice. Juno nodded, eyes closed as a happy smile spread across her face.

"Very." She patted the seat next to her. "Come on, have a seat!" Callisto blinked a few times in surprise and then sat in the seat next to Juno and leaned back in the comfortable chair, letting out a content sigh of her own.

Vela looked around.

"Uh guys, where are the Wish Orbs?" Vela questioned. Skye, Halo, Maia, Selene, Estella, Rhea, Lyra, Nova and Faye all looked around as well. From their spots on their comfy seats, Juno and Callisto looked as well. Vela was right, there were no Wish Orbs in sight.

"Where did they come from last time?" Maia asked.

"I was a bit too busy looking at my headmistress's holo-vid to pay attention." Callisto said. Nova bounced up and down.

"Ooh, ooh! Let me try something!" All the girls looked at her. Nova stopped bouncing and raised her hands above her head and clapped. The girls all looked around. Nothing happened. Nova shrugged.

"Ah, well. Worth a shot." Nova said. Just as the girls began to ponder other methods they could reveal the Wish Orb with, the room went dark. Nova, who had since sat down, fell out of her chair as she pointed up at the blacked out glass ceiling.

"Spoke too soon!" Nova yelled. All the girls' eyes widened as a beam of light appeared as a round platform none of them had noticed the last time rose up out the starmarble floor. The beam of light focused on the middle of the platform and the girls all gathered around it. The center of the platform opened and up came the Wish Orb. The girls' eyes all widened as the Orb floated to the edge of the platform and began to circle around them. Selene, Estella, Vela, Halo, Skye, Lyra, Maia, Rhea, Juno, Callisto, Nova and Faye all grabbed each other's hands, squeezing each other's hands a little as the Wish Orb circled around, sometimes momentarily pausing in front of a girl before continuing on.
