Interlude #1: Meanwhile, On Vis

"You know, that was actually the funnest party I have ever been to." Mindy said as she lightly kicked a ball a neighborhood kid had likely left behind when they had been called into the house. Sally pointed at Mindy, green eyes wide.

"You told me funnest wasn't a word!" Sally exclaimed, bottom lip jutted out in a pout. Mindy simply shrugged.

"I said what I said." Mindy said. Sally folded her arms and continued pouting. Selene looked down at the glowing star of her Wish Pendant. It had only happened an half hour ago, and Selene still couldn't believe it. She had actually collected wish energy! The key to saving their home planet was literally stored right inside the star of her necklace. Selene clasped a protective hand around it. It was now her job to keep the wish energy stored inside her necklace safe until they got back to Vis and could release it inside a Wish-House. Nova was still full of bouncy energy from both the party and the successful Wish Mission.

"It was absolutely nebulous! That was the single most star-mazing thing I have ever seen in my entire life! I hope my Wish Mission goes just as well as Selene's." Nova said. Selene let out a laugh through her nose.

"Maybe not as well as mine. I almost didn't get any Wish Energy at all." Nova waved a hand, dismissively.

"Pssh, you did great!" Nova said. Nova threw her arms out to show off the new shirt she had made at Jane's party. Nova had torn multiple different shades of orange crepe paper into small pieces and had arranged them into the shape of an exploding supernova on a white t-shirt. Then, after the supernova shape had dried, Nova had torn more orange crepe paper and arranged the pieces into the shape of a pulsar and then had sprayed the pieces and let the shirt dry again. After, the shirt had been glitter-fied and small orange rhinstones had been added to the upper back shoulders of the shirt and the sleeves had been gathered up with orange silk ribbon The design on Nova's shirt was of Orisha's crest—a pulsar inside an exploding supernova.

"Check out my shirt! Isn't it cute?" Nova asked, doing a turn to show it off, the rhinestones on the back catching the light of the streetlamps. Halo nodded.

"Very." Halo said, nodding. Halo's own shirt had Hina's crest on it—a celestial bloom (which the girls had learned was called a plumeria on Wishworld) surrounded by a corona in different shades of sky blue. Halo had added sky blue rhinestones in different shades of sky blue on top of the corona and the sleeves of the shirt were gathered up with sky blue ribbons that Halo had tied into big fashionable bows at the top. The design of the shirt had been glitterized as well.

Skye brushed a strand of hair away from her face and beamed brightly.

"First Wish Mission accomplished! Only eleven more to go!" Skye cheered. Rhea pumped her fist.

"Then we can go home and it's game over for Adira!" Rhea yelled, throwing her fists in the air. Lyra looked thoughtful, her long seafoam green skirt swishing against her sandals as she walked.

"Do you think she'll surrender peacefully?" Lyra asked, head titled inquisitively. Rhea nodded, confidently.

"She has to." Rhea said. Callisto scoffed.

"Oh yeah, sure. The evil dictator that literally staged a violent coup, is going to surrender just because twelve girls brought home positive wish energy." Callisto said, sarcastically. Juno rolled her eyes and gently elbowed Callisto.

"Be positive, Calli. It'll work out. We just gotta trust Lady Celeste's plan." Juno said. Callisto gave Juno a faux cheery look.

"I am absolutely positive she'll surrender and even offer all of Vis an apology. She might even willingly go into exile. Moons and stars, Juju, I've been looking at this all wrong!" Callisto said, voice full of fake giddiness. Juno puffed her cheeks and poked Callisto in the cheek. Selene, Lyra, Estella, Skye, Halo, Faye, Maia, Vela, Rhea and Nova all giggled at Callisto and Juno. Mindy and Sally just looked at the two girls, confused. They both shot wordless looks to the other girls. Selene waved a hand.
