Riverview Mall

"It was nice of your mom to drive us to the mall, Evie." Jane said. Jane, Genevieve, Sally, Mindy, Selene, Estella, Juno, Callisto, Maia, Rhea, Halo, Faye, Nova, Vela, Lyra and Skye were currently navigating the sidewalks, crossways and pedestrian crowds of Riverview Plaza as they headed towards the mall. Genevieve shrugged.

"Mom had some things she needed to do in the plaza today. She's picking up a mannequin order for the boutique." Genevieve said. Genevieve was dressed as fashionably as ever in a cute purple blouse, a denim skirt with a black belt with a cute heart shaped buckle, two toned leggings (the right side plain bright yellow and the left side white with tiny multicolored stars on them) and brown ankle boots. She had completed the look with a denim jacket that had cute patches sown onto it and the back was emblazoned with a big heart with a rainbow through it made out of rhinestones and a bright yellow scarf.

"After that she has to pick up her fabric bolt order. After that, she's meeting with some designers who want to sell their designs in the boutique." Halo nodded.

"Sounds like a busy day." Halo said. Genevieve nodded in agreement.

"It is. It's a lot of work to run a boutique, but it's been my mother's dream since she was a little girl." Genevieve's mother was the owner of Chic Couture, one of the most popular boutiques in Riverview Plaza. Halo had seen the boutique's website. The web page had a plain white background with colorful polkadots of varying sizes to add a fun pop of color and the name was typed in a fancy looking cursive font with a logo of a woman with long hair wearing a fashionably large sun hat and large sunglasses. The clothes were all super cute and comfy looking and most importantly of all, actually affordable! Genevieve's mother designed all the clothes and jewelry herself, though she often set up consignments with other fashion designers so they could sell their designs in the boutique.

It also turned out that Genevieve's father was a model and often modeled Genevieve's mother's creations for her website. So fashion really did run in Genevieve's blood after all. Halo wondered whether Genevieve aspired to follow in her parents footsteps or not. Halo herself had always dreamed of a career that combined her two favorite interests: fashion and science. But as the oldest daughter of Queen Theia Galzar, Halo's future career was going to be long council meetings and signing new laws. The girls crossed a crosswalk and stepped onto the next sidewalk. Halo looked at the window displays of the different stores they passed.

Genevieve pointed ahead of them.

"And here it is, Riverview Mall!" Genevieve announced. Halo, Lyra, Skye, Nova, Selene, Faye, Estella, Vela, Callisto, Juno, Maia and Rhea all looked in the direction Genevieve was pointing.

Ahead of them was a large rectangular four story building, it's exterior featuring a mix of glass, steel, and concrete elements in a contemporary architectural style with sleek lines and expansive glass facades so polished that the girls could clearly see the mall's surroundings reflected in them. LED lighting strips accented the edges of the building though they weren't lit at the moment considering that it was only eleven in the afternoon (Halo couldn't help but wonder what the mall would look like at night). Large floor-to-ceiling windows wrapped around the mall's exterior, allowing natural light to flood into the mall's interior and letting the girls catch glimpses of the shoppers and the bustling activity inside and there were digital screens mounted on the exterior that periodically showcased promotions, events, and advertisements. Lush greenery and carefully manicured planters lined the perimeter of the mall and paved walkways led from the parking areas to the entrance, with strategically placed seating areas for the patrons to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The main entrance to the mall was adorned with a set of sleek revolving doors and on top of it, a sleek, minimalistic sign proudly displayed the name "Riverview Mall" in bold lettering that was visible even from a distance.
