Chapter 8: A collision of ideals

On the 23rd of July 2763, at 7:55 AM, Raphael and I found ourselves once again teleported to the Grand Colosseum. Excitement crackled in the air as we took our seats, eagerly awaiting the start of the match. Raphael leaned in and said, "Remember when you said that the battle is among Demons, Dragons, Noivers, and Cybers? Other races don't stand a chance against them? Well, I think you forgot about the angels. They're among the strongest races and known for their brutality."

"No, I didn't forget about them. But they don't stand a chance against the four I mentioned. They might be the strongest among the rest, but they don't quite qualify to be in the League of the big four. You see, this tournament isn't just about sheer power; it's about more than that. When powers are unleashed to their fullest, there's a momentary tie in power. It happened in the fight between the Forest Guardian and the Magician. The Plant Titan and the White Blaze Armor were on the same level of power, but the difference was the wizard's ability to endure and dodge more hits, which ultimately broke the tie. It's not just about strength; it's about strategy and endurance. We witnessed a similar effect during the initial moments of Thunder Breaker. For a brief moment, the fighters seemed evenly matched in power, yet it was Fulmine's battle IQ that allowed the Noiver to triumph despite his disadvantage. Now, back to the Angels. If sheer power decided the battles, you might be right. But in my view, angels lack an important quality..."

Our discussion was abruptly interrupted by the resounding and rather annoying voice of the announcer, Mike, as he began his introduction. "Hello and welcome again to the Galaxies' Last Stand Tournament. Did you miss me?"

The Colosseum erupted with enthusiastic cheers: "Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

"I missed you too," Mike exclaimed with infectious energy. "Today, we have an enthralling match for you. Today's battle will be between two of the strongest races in this universe. These two share a long history, a history of rivalry and fighting. This battle will be a payback time. On this side, we have the first female in this tournament, with a height of 197cm, and a weight of 115 Kg. She joined us today from the planet Euphoria from the angels' galaxy. Say hello to the elegant destroyer, the beauty crusher, the Archangel; Ms. Celestia Evanlight."

The Colosseum trembled with the cheers as the angelic champion, Celestia Evanlight, made her grand entrance. Her feather wings sparkled brilliantly in the sunlight, captivating the onlookers with their mesmerizing beauty. Clad in an otherworldly garment, she seemed to emit an air of tranquility and kindness, drawing the admiration of those present.

As she gracefully landed on the ground, her long spear caught the eye, emanating an otherworldly glow that hinted at its celestial power. There was an undeniable sense of reverence in the air as if everyone sensed her as a symbol of hope and compassion.

Her attire added to the spectacle, showcasing a truly ethereal grace. White trousers flowed elegantly with each step, symbolizing purity and radiance, while a matching white shirt seemed to emit an angelic glow like fabric woven from moonlight itself.

But what truly stole the show was her iridescent armor, which shimmered like stardust under the colosseum's lights. Delicate engravings of celestial motifs adorned its surface, complemented by accents of silver and gold that caught and reflected light beautifully. It was as if the armor itself was a divine creation, a testament to her celestial status. The entire sight left the spectators in awe, witnessing a true embodiment of grace and power.
