I sat in Colsons kitchen, finally drinking my coffee. Man did I miss this. I finally gave in and left the bedroom. I haven't seen Colson all morning now that I think of it. Was he avoiding me? I looked up to see Pete walking in and he gave me a smile. I then noticed a good looking guy walking in with him.
"Angel, meet Liam, Liam meet Angel. Hes going to help us deal with the lost souls".
I smiled at the very attractive man that stood there. He sat down across from me and nodded.
"Where's Kells"? Pete asked.
I shrugged. "I haven't seen him". I said and took another sip. My eyes not leaving Liam.
Pete groaned. "I need to talk to him. Did he say where he went at all"? He asked and I shook my head.
After last night I woke up to an empty bed. Quite frankly I needed a break from him. Or at least try to start controlling myself. Pete walked out of the kitchen and left me alone with Liam.
"Are you Kells girlfriend or something"? He asked.
"Oh. No. I'm just being held hostage until I can go back home. It's not safe". I smiled and stood up.
Liam gave me a face. "What's not safe"? He asked.
"Me. Some lost souls are trying to kill me but also the guy I'm staying with. Or at least i think he does. Not sure". I said.
I started to understand that when you develop a backbone, you also develop sarcastic comments that follow but I didn't mind.
Liam laughed. "Kells is trying to kill you"?
I nodded. "Yupp".
Just then Pete walked back into the kitchen, Colson behind him. He gave me a face, clearly hearing me talk about the situation.
"We need to sit and talk". Pete said.
I shook my head. I didn't want to be apart of this. "No. I'm good". I smiled and walked off into the living room.
Pete and Colson followed me out and stood there. I stared out at the snow covered trees, looking out the big window.
"Its important. It's about Garrett". Pete said and I turned to him.
"I said no".
Both guys shocked at my reaction. Colson nodded to Pete as he walked back off into the kitchen.
"For once can you just listen to me and let me talk to you about you're well being"? He asked.
I shook my head. First he wants me to have a backbone, now that it's to much he wants me to stop.
"I could care less anymore. You promise me protection, then I get kidnapped. You tell me I can go home, and all you wanna do it complain on how I'm still not safe. It's confusing". I sighed and sipped the last of my coffee.
"I just want to make sure you're safe. I'm leaving soon for some business out of town. I don't want you here left alone or scared".
Wait, he's leaving?
"When"? I asked.
"Friday. Travis is coming with me and Pete doesn't want to watch you. I'm trying to get Liam to help".
I rolled my eyes.
"I'm going to pretend you didn't do that".
"I don't need a bodyguard. I'll be fine". I said and he shook his head. "I have Christmas shopping to do". I joked.
"Liam will stay around to keep an eye out. " he spoke and walked off.
I quickly followed. "I said no".
Once we made it into the kitchen he turned to the guys then back to me.
"We settled it. Angel will be coming with me". Colson said and I quickly turned to him.
"I will most definitely not be doing that"! I yelled and he covered my mouth.
I struggled to get out of his hold as he talked to the guys.
"That works. We can get a car here tonight to take you". Travis said as he grabbed his phone.
I bit down on Colsons hand and he immediately let go.
"I said I wasn't going. Read my lips". I hissed.
Colson turned to me but Liam walked over faster. He grabbed my hand pulled me to him.
"Its either we do it Colsons way or my way. If you leave with him then it makes it easier on me. If you decide to stay then it'll be your worse nightmare".
I watched as his eyes turned a shade of pink and I quickly pushed him away from me. I didn't want to leave, why is he forcing me? I pushed this stranger away from me and held my arm. Colson stood infront of me and glared at Liam.
"Do not touch her again". His whisper sounded angry.
"You're losing your power with her. You just let her talk and ask questions. The old Colson would never let this happen". Liam spoke.
"I wouldn't. He basically claimed her without marking her". Pete said as he took the bag of chips off the fridge.
"Well as a lost soul, I feel that her soul isn't worth it with the attitude". He snapped.
"Enough". Colson growled from infront of me.
Liam put his arms up and walked backwards. He turned to me and gave me a wink and I shrudded behind Colson.
"Angel, go pack". Pete said as he sat down.
I rolled mt eyes again, not caring if Colson seen it or not and walked back up to his room, slamming the door for all to hear. My backbone was losing its touch and the only way I can keep it would be to a total bitch the whole time I'm with Colson. If he wants to protect me then the show must go on with my bitchyness.
