I felt like I had a target on my back and they were going to kill me. I walked into the house to see the door opened. I called out Colson's name but he didn't answer. I walked Into the living room to see a body on the floor. When I seen it was Donna I ran to it. She was looking at me and I grabbed her hand.

"I'm going to get you help". I cried out but she shook her head.

"Its to late. You need to get out before he gets to you". She whispered.

"Who. Before who gets to me"? I asked.

"Me".

I turned to see Benji. I shook my head and felt the air leave my body.

"You need to figure out your escape. Kells can't protect you forever". He said and that's when his hand grabbed my throat.

"Go ahead. Call him". He joked and lifted me up off the ground by my neck.

"Stop"! I gasped and he laughed.

"Look at her struggling". Donna laughed.

Great. Even in my dreams I get messed with. I woke up and took the blankets off of me. I wiped the light sweat from my forehead and threw my legs over the side. I got up and walked from my room and noticed Colson sitting at the table.

"Get back to bed". He mumbled.

"Just because you're watching over me doesn't make you a nanny. I'm up so im staying up". I said and walked over to him.

He chucked and set his cigarette down. I leaned over the counter and he looked into my eyes. He scares me but I've never felt more protected.

"You look exhausted sweets. Go to bed" He whispered.

"Do you not sleep"? I asked.

He shook his head.

"That sucks. So you just sit here all alone"? I asked.

"I'm used to the silence". He whispered.

I knew for a fact that my intentions were my own this time. I walked over to stood between his legs, grabbing his hands and put them on my waist.

"What's this about"? He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm learning to take risks". I said.

"Are you sure about that"? He asked.

I nodded and I felt hands squeeze my hips.

"Once I agree to this, it's over". He said.

"Maybe learn to trust your instinct". I giggled.

He nodded and stood up, dragging me down the hall to the bedroom. I walked to the bed and got under the covers as he stood by the door, leaning agaisnt the frame.

"Goodnignt angel". He whispered and shut the door behind him.

I left to grab a coffee this morning. I needed some winter air I guess. Colson wasn't there when I woke up so I went agaisnt the rules. I stood at the coffee shop and ordered my coffee on the screen. After I paid I turned around and seen Haley. She was staring at her coffee, wiping her eyes. I grabbed mine off thr counter and walked over to her. When she seen me she gasped and wrapped me into a hug.

"Hi". She whispered.

"What are you doing here at seven in the morning"? I asked.

"I can't sleep. Haven't been able to." She spoke.

I pulled a chair out and sat down across from her.

"It doesn't seem real. She's really gone".

I nodded. I didn't know what to say. "I'm sorry this happened". I whispered.

"You know Kells paid for the funeral? He stopped to see her mom the day she passed. Wrote her a check".

I nodded. I didn't know he did all that. That was nice of him. That explains the "business" he had to take care of. See, I didn't need to ask around, people just told me things that he thinks I don't know about.

"She always loved him, even if he knew or not. She tried to sleep with him so many times and he still treated her nicely". She forced a laugh.

"Seems like him". I said.

"She was jealous of the attention he gave you. I hope you know she didn't mean anything she did to you". She said and wiped her eyes again.

"Things happen. I didn't take it personally". I lied.

She nodded. "I think I'm going to move back home. I can't stay here anymore". She spoke.

"Do you think that's a good idea"? I asked. "I mean you live here". I added.

"I know. But with Donna. I don't think I can afford rest this month". She said.

From everything I've learned growing up my parents always taught me to be respectful, even to the ones who treated me badly. I still liked these girls, even after everything theyve done to me. I guess i take after my dad in some way with that. People used to walk all over him, but he still showed that he cared. I grabbed my purse and opened it, grabbing my last check from Travis.

"Stay another month, really think about it." I said and handed her my check.

"I can't take this". She sobbed and I shook my head.

"Think of this as a fresh start. Id hate to lose both of you". I said. "We were close back then". I said, giving a small grin.

I felt good about this. Maybe this will turn her around and understand more.

"Thank you". She smiled and gave me another hug.

The bell to the coffee shop opened and we both turned back to see Travis. He gave us a smile and then walked over.

"Angel, I have some stuff for you. Can you come with me"? He asked.

This only meant Colson was looking for me. I stood up and gave Haley a smile before leaving with him. I made it outside to see Colson standing at his car.

I walked over and grabbed the handle. "I was fine".

He nodded and got into the car. I turned to face him but he grabbed my face and connected our lips. When he pulled away I was taken back.

"What was that for"? I asked.

He shrugged. "That was very nice and mature of you. You made her feel better". He whispered.

"Well, that's just the person I am". I said and put my seatbelt on and that's when he drove off quickly.
