S2 Part 1

Newt's POV:

(Flashback)

Me and my sister; Lizzy, were hiding in our basement, our parents were outside, trying to protect us from something, I think.

I am 6 years old, and my sister is 5 years old. We heard the basement door open, very aggressively. We saw three guys, in some wired army uniforms.

They were wearing all black uniforms with army vests on, giant guns in their hands. One of the guards grabbed out a walkie talkie, or something and placed it by his mouth.

"One girl and one boy here." The guard said. Lizzy hugged me very tightly, choking out sobs.

I hugged her back, and tried to do anything in my power; to not have these people hurt my sister. My parents ran downstairs to the basement, held there guns at the suspicious guards.

"Stay away from our children!" My mom yelled.

My mom and dad had there guns pointed at the two guards, and would sometimes point it at the third guard.

"Kids close your eyes now!" Both my mom and dad said. Me and Lizzy both closed our eyes, now we heard a gunshot.

I opened my eyes for one second, I saw it, my mom got shot and she was on the floor, blood oozing out of her chest. My dad screamed in anger, shot one of the guards, but the other one shot him.

My dad fell on the ground and died right beside me, my sister, and next to mom. One of the guard's grabbed my sister away from me, the other one grabbed me away from her.

"Let her bloody go!!!" I yell at them. The one guard grabbed Lizzy out of the basement, and took her somewhere.

The other grabbed me and took me outside of the house. Lizzy was inside some sort of aircraft, which had the words on the side of it, saying. 'WICKED'. The guard shoved me inside the aircraft, the doors closed automatically of the aircraft.

When the flare virus hit the earth, me and my sister's parents took us to a secret house, unfortunately, me and Lizzy's dog died; it gotten the flare, and it acted like it had rabies. At first I thought it was this virus, that our parents were taking us away from, but maybe it's these wired guards or WICKED. I see a lady walk to us and sat down, facing us.

She had a white dress on, her hair in a messy bun, and had makeup on her.

"Hello, I am doctor Ava Pagie." The woman known as Ava said.

"I would like to give you new names, for your new home. If that is ok?" Ava added.

"Are we going somewhere safe?!" I asked, very nervous. Ava nodded, and started telling us we would be safe from the earth's new climate and the flare virus.

"Ok but what will be our new names then?" Lizzy asked, very quickly.

"You will be called; Sonya, your brother will be called Newton." Ava said. Lizzy got excited, started telling me to call her Sonya, since she said that name sounded so beautiful.

The name Newton was okay...but why is this lady changing our names? It's so wired.

"Just call me Newt." I said. Ava nodded, one of her guards signaled her to come talk.

"I will be right back Newt and Sonya." Ava said, walking away with her guard. I don't trust this lady, not one bit.

Ava's POV:

"What is it?" I asked.

The guard pulled up a report of the two kids; Newt and Sonya.

"The girl now known as Sonya is immune, but her brother Newton isn't immune." The guard said.
