Things were weird. Donna and I were going to California. We were gunna take a bus, but when we saw Kelso in his van and he asked what was happening, we told him. He wanted to go with. He didn't want to marry Jackie.
See, I knew when she told me earlier that they were getting married, I knew she was being delusional...or Kelso was getting cold feet. Either way, Me, Kelso, and Donna were going to California.

"I'd meet a lot more hot girls if you two weren't with me." Kelso said. "Kelso, you're the only one here that we know." Donna said. "Well it's not my fault you wanted to come here, what even happened?" He questioned."Dudes are pricks." I told him. "Okay, well you two have fun, I'm gunna find some women!" He said happily. I laid back on the sand. "Donna?" I questioned her. "Yeah?" She questioned. "I miss him, and I hate that." I told her, referring to Hyde.
She got up and looked at me, holding out her hand. "I know, we should go adventuring since Kelso ditched us. It might help keep our minds off of our problems."
I grabbed her hand and she pulled me up. We started walking to wherever it was we were going.

"Has Janie called?" Steven asked Kitty as he walked into the kitchen. She stared at him and shook her head. "No, and she probably won't. You messed up, badly. Donna called though, they're all doing fine." She said.
Steven went to the basement. "I gotta get Janie back, man." He said to Eric and Fez. "Well maybe you and Eric can go to California." Fez suggested. Eric looked at Fez and then to Steven.
"That's an idea for the stupid helmet." Eric said to them. "Forman, screw the stupid helmet. Do you want Donna back or not?" Hyde questioned Eric. "I don't know Hyde, are you divorced yet?" He asked Steven just to get back at him.
"No, I'll but I figure it out, right now? Right now we need to be on our way to California so I can fix things with Janie and tell her that I love her, man!" Hyde said seriously. Eric and Fez both looked at him with their mouths wide open. "Holy Crap! Steven Hyde's in love!" Eric said.
"Is it just me going or are you in Forman?" Steven asked Eric. Eric thought for a minute. "Alright fine, I'm in. I gotta get Donna back." He told Steven. Now they had to figure out when to leave.

"Do we even know where Kelso went? He kind of disappeared." I told Donna as I lit a cigarette and we walked. So far, we sat at Donna's mom's place for three hours and went to a few stores. "I don't know, but I'm getting tired and I want sleep." She told me.
I nodded in agreement just as I saw Kelso walking around with his arm around a blonde girl. "I found Kelso." I said. "With the blonde." She answered. I laughed. "Glad you see it too."
"Kelso!" I yelled. He looked over at Donna and I, rolling his eyes, but nonetheless he walked over to us. "What Janie?" He asked, not bothering to introduce Donna and I to his lady friend. "Donna and I are calling it a day, don't do any stupid crap." I told him.
He said he wouldn't and that if he did it wouldn't even be that bad. Donna and I then went back to Midge's. California wasn't bad, it probably would have been if it was just me who went, but I had two of my friends, so things were better than they were going.
I couldn't help but think about him. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Y'know what? What Hyde did was something that Kelso would definitely pull. But he wasn't Kelso, and I'm not Jackie. We're Steven and Jan- we used to be Steven and Janie.
STEVEN+JANIE
I hope it rains hard enough in Wisconsin to wash that off of the water tower. Now we were just Hyde and Little Forman. Not even that. He really hurt me. At this point, I'm just Eric's little sister and he's my brothers best friend.
Not my fiancé
Not my boyfriend
Not my burnout
Not even my best friend.
I rolled over and slept the best I could, but it was difficult. Things weren't supposed to be like this. Maybe when I came back from running away the first time, maybe my coming back was a mistake.
This wouldn't of happened if I hadn't come back.

"Do we even know where they're staying, man?" Hyde asked as Eric drove. Eric shook his head. "Donna's staying at her moms, as for Kelso and Janie? I have no idea." He replied.
Steven sighed and Eric continued to drive to California.

"When are we going home?" I asked Kelso and Donna. They both didn't have an answer. I missed mom and dad and Fez, and Eric...and Hyde.
"When we go home, can I bring my girlfriend?" Kelso asked Donna and I. We both looked at each other and then to Kelso with wide eyes. "You actually made a girlfriend here, man?" I questioned him. He nodded.
"The blonde I was with yesterday. Annette." He told us. "The way you get over your past relationships, is horrible." I told Kelso. "Yeah, well, at least I didn't run away to freaking California!" He said with a light yell. I rolled my eyes. "Get bent! You ran away too, cause guess what Kelso, right now, your in freaking California!" I told with the same tone.
"I'm going back to Midge's!" I said as I got up. Donna followed after me, leaving Kelso alone on the beach.

As Kelso sat there he looked around. Then he saw two familiar faces walk up to him. "Eric? Hyde?" He questioned confused. "Kelso, where's Donna and Janie?" Eric asked.

At Midge's Donna, her mom and I sat at the kitchen table playing cards. Maybe we shouldn't have ran away at all. California was supposed to be cool, and it was for the most part. But it's hard to have fun when your missing a part of yourself.
I could be California dreaming, but this and everything that lead me to here? Felt more like a horrible nightmare. A bad trip that just doesn't end.
