Logan's POV

"Man... I'm just so sick of this stupid animal mangling curse," DJ complained from next to me as we sat in loser class again.

At least we didn't come in last in New York, and we didn't have to eliminate anyone.

"Curse schmurse," Leshawna responded, flicking her hand dismissively.

"The more you believe in that nonsense, the more power it has over you," I told DJ, leaning against the wall.

"Really?" DJ's eyebrows perked up. "Wow. Maybe you're right."

"Six episodes and no eliminations!" Owen boasted from the other side of the room. "If we were a steak, we'd be a thirty-two ounce Porterhouse! And you guys would be a tiny slice of bologna. Hahaha!"

"I'd watch what you're saying," I snarled at Owen, causing his eyes to widen.

"Don't be scared, big guy. Sparkplug over here is just a bit peeved that her lovely boyfriend decided to go AWOL," Noah sneered at me.

As much as I find Noah amusing, I have to admit, that comment stung a bit.

"He's not my boyfriend nor my friend!" I insisted, crossing my arms. "I told you I cut ties with him."

Noah gave me a skeptical look. I slouched in my seat, feeling grumpy.

Contrary to what others may think, I'm not going back to Duncan. I've learned my lesson, and I have to be cautious about who I trust again.

Alejandro glanced at me with sympathy. "Need I remind you all that we lost the last challenge?" he interjected before things escalated. I sent him a small yet grateful smile.

After sharing the news about Duncan's incident with my DJ, Owen, and Tyler, word spread like a wildfire.

I do appreciate Alejandro's friendly-ish demeanor towards me, even if it isn't entirely genuine. I wouldn't mind forming a friendship with him, at least until the show is over. For now, I'll be cordial and see how things unfold. But I know I still have to keep my guard up.

It's really hard to trust anyone these days, especially someone as secretive as Alejandro.

"But with you as our leader, nothing is impossible," Owen replied to Alejandro after some thought. "Heck, I'm not even afraid of flying anymore. Check this out!" He unbuckled himself and started dancing around the plane.

"Ah-na-na-na-na!" he sang, moving towards DJ, Leshawna, Lindsay, and I.

Suddenly, the plane shook violently due to turbulence, and I was jolted up to the ceiling.

"Not again!" I screeched, watching the patched-up hole in the wall fall apart.

I quickly plummeted back down, grabbing onto Lindsay's waist as she desperately clung to the back of the bench to prevent us from being sucked out of the plane.

"Spoke. Too. Ah! Soon! Help!" Owen yelped as he got pulled towards the hole. He managed to grab onto the siding just in time, while I crashed to the floor. "Al, give me an Ale-hand, bro!"

Alejandro looked at Owen with pure disgust. It seems like Owen is the only person Alejandro can't handle.

DJ, Lindsay, and I worked together to pull Owen back into the plane, while Leshawna shoved a crate in front of the hole to block the wind from rushing in.

As we finally settled back into our seats, a bird landed in DJ's lap. "Shoo, go away. You're not safe with me."

"Whoa. Aren't those the Alps?" Noah gasped in wonder before I could move the bird out of DJ's lap. I peered out the window closest to me and sure enough, there were a bunch of mountains located just below us.
