Logan's POV
"Wake up, guys!" I faintly heard Owen yell out.
He must have found another stash of food hidden in the compartments.
Groggily, I groaned as Owen jolted me awake, attempting to wipe the crust off my eyes.
"Owen, wha—Ah!" I cut myself off with a scream.
We found ourselves in the air—actually, the sky. There was no plane, no bed, no food. We were just free falling to our deaths without parachutes.
"Hey, kids, you better get into your paddle boats!" Chris hollered out. I looked up to see him still in the plane.
I scrambled to grab onto Owen's ankle as he clutched onto one of the boats provided for us.
Screaming, we all landed inside the paddle boats just as they collided with the water. I groaned, rubbing my sore head.
"I'm starting to question my mom's crush on Chris just a little," Sierra uttered from next to me.
"Uh, w-w-water—"
"Yes, Owen. We know we're in the water," I cut off the blonde, still groggy from the near-death experience. Sierra gasped, pointing in front of us. I squinted and, sure enough, we were heading straight for a waterfall.
"Wa... wa..."
"Waterfall!" Alejandro screamed from the other boat, finishing Heather's sentence. "Quick, paddle!"
"We're all gonna die!" Owen cried out while Sierra and I desperately tried to paddle our boat to shore.
"If you let us live, I'll hear Duncan out," I said to the sky, clasping my hands together.
"If we live, I'll forget all the rude things she's said to me," Duncan responded from the other boat.
"If we live, I'll let Sierra kiss me!" I stopped paddling and whipped my head back to look at Cody.
There was no way he just said that.
The teens and I froze for a solid minute, staring at the brown-haired boy in pure shock.
"What? Like we're gonna make it," Cody said in response.
I gulped, staring back at the waterfall in front of us. It was true, there was no way we were going to survive this.
"I. Want. My. Kiss!" Sierra suddenly screeched.
I watched as Sierra pulled a rope out of the back of the boat. In a quick movement, she tied the rope around Owen's waist, flinging him over to Alejandro, Heather, Cody, and Duncan.
Sierra bit down on the rope, paddling like a madwoman. I held onto the side of the boat as she sent us crashing into the beach, just barely missing the waterfall.
"Oh, good grief..." I panted out, lying on my back in the sand.
We all moaned in pain, trying to recuperate from the near-death experience we had managed to avoid.
"So, Niagara Falls is pretty awesome, eh?" Chris spoke up from a few feet away.
The remaining contestants and I all glared at Chris from the sand. We soon got up, heading over to him.
"It almost killed us!" Heather spat while I wrung my hair out.
"Like I said, awesome!" Chris responded.
He really didn't care about our well-being. I'm sure if Courtney were still here, she'd be threatening to sue him for endangerment.
"The Falls are the jewel in Canada's crown, and one of the top ten natural wonders in the world. It's also known for its fabulous casino, which is where we'll be heading for the first part of the challenge!" our host explained, motioning to the water.
