Logan's POV

"I could really get used to this," I moaned as the masseur gently rubbed my feet in the comfort of first class.

This kind of pampering was something I had missed dearly.

"Winning really is everything," Tyler agreed, seated across from me with DJ by his side.

"Says the two who Frenched a cod," Noah muttered from behind Tyler. As embarrassment washed over me, I sank deeper into my seat, desperately clutching onto my book.

Definitely not my proudest moment, at all.

"And by the way, it was a tie," DJ chimed in, Irene resting contently on his lap.

Being back in first class with DJ filled me with joy, especially seeing him grow more confident and composed.

//DJ's Confessional

"Since Logan and I won in Newfoundland, I've started to believe that I can actually win this whole thing, all thanks to my lucky charm, Irene. Can you believe she lifted my curse? It's incredible. As long as she's alright, I'm golden."//

//Logan's Confessional

"Ever since Irene entered DJ's life, his animal-related mishaps have vanished! I'm genuinely happy for him because now he's determined to win. I truly hope one of us secures the million so we can buy his mom a new bus that I crashed..."//

//Alejandro's Confessional

"Irene. I never expected DJ to form a bond with my creation, but the symbol I painted on her seems to be working wonders. His newfound confidence is both tragic and delicious."//

"DJ, how's Irene?" I inquired as Alejandro rose to engage in a conversation with Chris, who had just entered the first-class section.

"Irene? She's doing great. My days of animal curses are over!" DJ responded joyfully.

At least one of us found contentment.

Duncan was still occupying my thoughts for some reason. Part of me yearned to see him, while the other half desperately wanted him out of my life. I despised how his presence consumed my mind, but it felt as if I had no control over the situation.

I'd rather not encounter him until the competition is over and done with. If I were to run into him somehow, I had a strong feeling it would completely throw me off my A-game. I couldn't afford to let that happen, as I still had to take down Alejandro.

DJ approached Alejandro while Chris made his way back to the cockpit. Struggling to eavesdrop on their exchange, I found it challenging amidst Izzy's loud chewing on some plastic, and the distance between them and me.

"Ahem..." Chris cleared his throat over the PA system, causing me to set my book down. "Attention, passengers... AHHHHHH!"

The plane suddenly nosedived, and I was flung out of my seat.

"We're all gonna die!" Owen shouted. I crawled over to Tyler, desperately clinging onto his leg as the plane violently shook.

"Tell Mama I love her!" DJ cried, cradling Irene near the bar.

Tyler and I held onto each other tightly, trying our best not to be thrown to the edge of the room.

The plane door swung open, sucking Owen and Izzy out into the air.

With a sudden crash landing, we were all sent flying before hitting the ground hard.

"I would have been a millionaire with the amount of times I almost died on this show," I remarked, sliding down the emergency exit ramp that Chef had set up for us.
