"You took the gun? What the hell, Jay!"

Kady was surrounded by her Pogue friends as they told her all about the motel adventure they had earlier. JJ had stolen a gun and thought it was a good idea to keep it. That boy would be the death of Kady Rosewood.

"We've gotta lay low!" Kiara suggested.

"Keggar?"

"Keggar!"

That was how the five teenagers found themselves drinking with Kooks, Pogues, and Tourons at the Boneyard.

Kady stayed with Kiara until she saw Sarah and Topper arrive, much to Kiara's annoyance. "Hey Kie, I'm just gonna go and say hi, then I'll be right back, yeah?"

Kie mumbled something about Sarah as Kady walked away. "Hey Sarah! Hey, Top!"

Engulfing her brother's girlfriend in a hug, Sarah asked if the brunette had seen her brother today.

"I haven't seen Rafe today, but he's supposed to be picking me up later." Kady told her.

After a while of mindless chatter, JJ came up to the two girls. "Hey Sarah, can I interest you in a tasty Miwalke beverage?"

"Uh, no."

Topper stepped in, throwing the drink to the floor, John B coming over to drag JJ away before he could do any damage.

"Dirty Pogues!"

"Topper!"

It all happened so quickly. John B lunged at Topper, and the two ignored the pleading screams of Kiara, Kady, Sarah, and Pope.

"Get his ass John B!" JJ cheered.

John B did not 'get his ass', however. Topper was holding him underwater, a sickening smile on his face.

JJ grabbed his bag and pulled out his weapon from earlier. "Jay, no!" Kady said, being the only one who'd seen his act of heroic stupidity.

Ignoring his friend, he ran over to the fighting boys and held a gun to the Kook's head.

"Yeah, you know what that is!"

Surrendering, Topper stumbled over to his girlfriend. "Kady! Can you check your pysco friend!" Sarah shouted.

"Jay, what the hell was that!"

The blonde didn't listen as he fired two shots into the air. "Alright, listen up! Get the hell off our side of the island!"

Everyone ran, Pogues, Kooks and Tourons. As the Kook teens ran to their car, all eyes rounded on JJ.

"What the hell, man!"

"Are you crazy?"

"There was no need!"

"Someone could have died!"

"If you get found out!"

"I was saving his life!" JJ shouted over all the voices of his concerned friends.

Before anybody could answer, a roaring motorbike made its way down the beach.

"Kady! Come here, now!"

The Kook king himself, Rafe Cameron, walked over to the quarrelling group and pulled his girlfriend into his arms.

"The fuck do you think you're doing Pogue? Firing a gun near my girl, holding my best friend at gun point! Kook move next, we'll get you! You're gonna need a fucking saviour" He screamed at JJ, fury dripping from everything from his stance to his words.

Before anyone could respond, the couple climbed over Rafe's motorbike and took off.

So much for laying low...

First chapter! A bit rushed but I wanted to get the first chapter out of the way, there is much more drama to come.

I forgot to mention that this story follows the OBX plot and all credits go to the Outer banks producers and directors, I only own Kady, and as you'll meet soon, her family.
