"Well do we have a deal" The client in front of Azul was staring at the golden contract Azul laid out then signed. "Excellent, now I'll make sure to get your end by Tuesday, I'm sure you'll remember to get my end by then too" the client looked scared but then got up and left the VIP room.

Azul took the contract and put it in his safe. He was proud of his contracts, especially since Leona turned it all to dust last year. He was able to do a lot since then and got lots of magic from his fellow students of NRC. Keeping it as legal as he could without it being illegal, much to the principal's dismay because of complaints from people who couldn't pay the price.

Some things took a little longer than he preferred, but Jade and Floyd were always there. Well... They were always there, but looked more doubtful as time went on. Azul loved Jade and Floyd, he wouldn't always show it but he loved them more then he would ever admit, even to himself.

Floyd came around Azul then sat on the couch to the left of Azul's side. He started pouting his face then played with his pen. "That client was soooo boring Azul" Floyd remarked as he threw the pen loosely on the table then slouched back.

He never really found interest in the recent clients. They realized that they should not try to ask for much or else more will get taken from them, but Azul's offers were never less than tempting. But Floyd finding less and less interest is not something to worry about right...right?

" Yes quite like you" Jade added on to Floyd then sat on the other couch. He stared at Azul though looked very uninterested. He watched as the octopus's eyes widened and could see the moment Azul realized what he just said.

" Wh-what do you mean?!!" He panicked but didn't care to hide it." What do you mean boring" Azul always knew since they were in middle school that the twins would leave him, but didn't expect it to be in their third year at NRC.

The octopus was stunned. He didn't want to believe it, he wanted to stay with Jade and Floyd forever so why did they want to leave him. He wanted to keep them close to him forever, but he knew they had an expiration date. Or more accurately he did.

"Ahhh you guys look so cute together, you're like an undetachable school, well you're less than a school, but you get the point" The coral teacher at Neptune's Middle School said as she watched Azul and the twins playing one of Coral Seas' more traditional games at recess (Blackjack with Seashells). The seahorse mer had been watching their games and was interested in the unusual trio.

"Oh please Ms. Havhest we'll leave him the moment he's no longer interesting" Floyd remarked as he swayed his seashells around the big orange seahorse mer. "He's cute right now and very interesting right now, but when he's boring we'll eat him like sharks to the smaller fish".

"He is the most interesting thing me and my brother have seen in our short lives, but we are in for entertainment, not relationships" Jade joined as he shuffled the shells next to him and readjusted his tail.

Azul stared in disbelief as he heard that. He had been with Floyd and Jade for the past two years and had grown quite attached to the morays. But it didn't seem like they felt the same at this moment.

"We-well I don't really know about the mer from the depths so I can't really judge, but ummm.... I hope he... stays... interesting..." The seahorse mer slowly swam back and went to check on the other mer. She was obviously watching them every few seconds but she didn't come back to them.

"You'll both leave me... when I'm no longer interesting .." It was the first time he heard that but not the last. The octopus retracted his tentacles and looked down at his closest shell. The queen of hearts and a three of hearts, he heard that the queen was heartless in the tales he read. He wondered if it meant that she was heartless because she had a heart of stone hatred or she was just heartbroken.
