No Longer "Interesting"

A quite terrible map for something important

It had been for what Kai thought was hours. From small talk and judging by what they were doing, they were going nowhere in particular. He thought to just swim to them, show them the metal rod, and make them tell him where they were going.

"This is going nowhere". The hyena moaned.

"It's the ocean, what do you expect? It's big". Silver scratched Ruggie’s ear to calm him.

"Maybe we should contact Riddle. It could pass the time". Kalim suggested.

"That seems like a good idea". Said Silver.

"Call Riddle". Kalim held the pendant so he could contact Riddle.

Riddle showed on the pendant like all the other times. "I gave you guys a fair amount of time. Anything new?".

"We helped Azul's grandma with the coral garden. It was bleach white, she said that it was unhealthy. There were like 11 hot metal balls that changed the temperature which made it turn bleach white. After we got rid of it, she sent us to get crustaceans for the garden. When we returned she put the garden back to its colourful glory using a little flora magic she said. Then after that, we ate dinner then snuck out to search for the twins". Kalim talked very fast but explained everything nonetheless.

Riddle was silent for a minute. He was trying to grasp everything Kalim said. "Was it a big garden?".

"Yes! It was enjoyable!". Kalim squeaked up."There was an abundance of different corals!".

"She couldn't have used a little flora magic. It can take a month or less to be bleached. But it should have taken a decade to return the coral to its natural colour, at least without magic. That is definitely not a "little" magic". It sounded like Riddle was flipping through pages of a book.

"What does that mean then? She said that she had magic but wasn't the strongest at it". Ruggie intercepted.

"That can't be a little magic. It could speed up the process, but it would still take at least 7 years at our skill". They heard the sound of Riddle slamming a book on his desk. "She must be more powerful than she's letting on to cure the coral in less than a day".

"Why do you know so much about coral?". Kalim asked.

"My mother once got hyper-fixated on the ocean because she heard about a drowning incident. She made me search up everything about the ocean and I learned a lot about coral". Riddle frantically was now flipping through pages, then stopped.

"What are you doing?". Jamil couldn't take the sound of the book pages. "What's that book about?".

"It's about the Great Seven. One of them was a resident of the ocean. The Sea Witch". Riddle was reading the first page of the Sea Witch.

It said the most common knowledge of the Sea Witch at first. She was very powerful and in control of the ocean. She struck deals with unfortunate souls and was known for her benevolence because of it.
