The day started off the same, my morning meetings and early afternoon visits were carried out but by late afternoon, King Leif had found me...
"Here ye are. Have you been avoiding me? Lief questioned.
"Why no. I was just doing my morning tasks. I'm just about done now. I was just about going to take a walk to the market." I relplied.
"What for? Don't your servants get you things and get food for the castle? Lief said looking rather puzzled.
"I visit daily to talk with the people and to find solutions to make my Kingdom a better place for all." I proudly responded. "And I don't call them my servants. I added.
The puzzle look faded from his chisled face and he started to smile then started laughing a deep belly roar.
"Tskk." I hissed angrily. I started to turn but his huge hand reached out stopping the movement. I looked up at his face with a scowl on mine and then he spoke, "That is very nice of you, Tegan."
He had paused before he added my name at the end, and smiled after he had finished saying it. "Why did you laugh then?" I angrily questioned.
"You're too..nice." He replied.
"Only to the people I like!" I sneered back and with that I turned around and continued on my way.
