Preparing For A Royal Wedding

The next couple days were spent preparing for a wedding that everyone was not looking forward to. But never the less, the frenzy of a royal wedding had excited everybody in the kingdom and everyone was preparing their best for the dreaded day.

The cooks were going overboard with a fancy feast, the ladies preparing dresses and flower arrangements. The courtyards and halls were prepared for dancing guests by the castle staff and I stayed away and took no part in it.

I was going to be leaving to go North with Lief after the wedding where another ceremony would be happening once we arrived. I would be leaving the comfort that I have grew used to here to go somewhere else unknown.

Sure Lief said we would spend half the year here in Anastasia and half the year in his Kingdom, Strumord. The Kingdoms would be left in the hands of our advisors and guards to maintain the peace while we were gone, but the anxiety of more change happening in my once boring life was starting to be more than I could handle.

A knock on my chamber's door brought me out of my head and caused me to fall off the edge of the bed I was laying down on. The door busted open and to my surprise it was King Lief that had entered the room. Before I could pick myself up he was kneeling on the floor trying to wrap his arms around me to help me up.

"I'm good! I'm good!" I squealed and he gave me a confused look with my response. "I am alright." I declared in a more medeival way.

"I'm sorry to have scared you. I had wanted to ask if you would like to take another ride on Moonlight with be. You are quite a natural on her, but it is best you bond more with her." Lief rambled.

It was weird to hear him like this. It was as if he was nervous about my response and was trying to be polite to makeup for being such a feared heartless man that took what he wanted without a glance of remorse. I found myself thinking that maybe I should humour him and agree to go for a ride with him. I did enjoy the speed of Moonlight but needed to get used to her height from the ground.

"I would love to see Moonlight again." I replied with a smile forming on my face.

He smiled back and said, "I'll meet you down at the stables," and then turned heel and walked out of the room.
