slowly you were walking towards me..
I still remember your gaze
silent, I couldn't speak
remembering all your ways
the torture you handed out
yet I thought that's how you loved.
nothing could have prepared me
for the memories that scoffed
you looked at me with pity
it made me feel like I wasn't enough
and when you spoke, all I could feel was the nothing behind your love.
yet you told me that I looked pretty
I smiled and looked the other way
there were no words that can I could say
to make me feel witty ,
so I turned and walked away.
