Her hands instinctively shielded her chest, as if attempting to contain the tumultuous emotions threatening to burst forth. As she settled into the expansive bed, she found herself consumed by a whirlwind of fear and hopelessness that had taken hold after their intense encounter. The night had been a tumultuous symphony of emotions, each note played with fervor and passion. She remained frozen in place, every muscle in her body coiled with tension - her toes clenched, her back arched, her legs rigid with anxiety.
"What's happening to me? Why did I respond to his kiss? What's going on with me? It's just...just a simple attraction, right? That's normal...isn't it?" Jisoo murmured to herself, her eyes fixed on the ceiling as she lay on the bed. Feeling disoriented and unable to shut out her racing thoughts, she attempted to rationalize her actions. Yet, as she shifted to the other side of the bed, the memories of their passionate kisses flooded back into her mind. Jisoo's vision momentarily blurred as she vividly recalled the intoxicating moment in his car.
The sensation of his lips on hers lingered in Jisoo's mind. She recalled how she had been captivated by the sight of them, and how they had stirred something within her as they spoke to her. Slowly, she reached up and tenderly brushed her fingers against her lips, still swollen from the forceful kiss he had initiated, despite her initial reluctance.
"This isn't normal, is it? The way I can't stop thinking about his lips!" Jisoo exclaimed in disbelief, her thoughts consumed by him even as she lay awake. In a sudden burst of realization, she sat up, pressing her back against the headboard of the bed and wrapping her arms tightly around her knees.
"What do I do now that we've crossed that line? Why did I kiss you back?!" Jisoo lamented with a heavy heart, burying her face between her knees in regret.
Across town, a man grappled with similar thoughts. Standing under the steady stream of the shower, memories of their shared moment replayed in his mind. His heart still raced just as fiercely as it had in the car, his emotions mirroring Jisoo's turmoil.
"If only..." he whispered to himself, the water cascading down his face and body. Those two words held a weight of sorrow, encapsulating the profound melancholy of contemplating alternate realities with or without someone. The mere act of imagining such scenarios had the power to cast a shadow of discontent over anyone who delved too deeply into them. And he found himself not far from that place, already envisioning and yearning for a reality where he could love her without hesitation, limitation, or hindrance.
"I don't regret it... I don't! I had to... I had to let you know somehow... Sooner or later... I had to reveal my feelings to you... Every day, these emotions intensify... and I feel like I'm being consumed by them... I can't keep them hidden any longer...!" He whispered, his eyes shut tight in profound disillusionment over the aftermath of the kiss. The once luminous and commanding gaze in her eyes swiftly transformed into one of fear and bewilderment. He sensed that something had shifted within her, a sudden and unexpected change.
