IT HAD BEEN A COUPLE days since andrea was here. she had changed my strong perspective of her as she took the side of the wicked over us. me and chris gave her a small hug before watching her depart in the car rick supplied for her. for some odd reason, it felt like it would be one of my last times seeing her.

the day after rick, michonne, and carl had made a trip to a place rick had thought of to find weapons. while we all stayed back and rationed what we had left—we were now gearing up for war.

we couldn't keep living like rats, scared and unknowing of when the governor would hit us again. it was either we fought it out or made an agreement with phillip.

i personally wasn't on the track for forgiveness and agreement, but for hershel's sake rick had decided to have have a meeting with him personally. daryl had come to me and asked me to come along with. wanting more manpower just incase things were to go downhill.

i was hesitant at first, not knowing if i could handle seeing phillip face to face again— but i knew he'd turn to glenn next for help and i couldn't have glenn doing something destructive because of his emotions. i needed to keep him away from phillip. that's where we would all be safe—so i agreed.

glenn and chris certainly weren't happy about this decision, but it wasn't up to them to decide. i couldn't keep being scared of what could happen.

my eyes shifted around the big silos, my hands clutching onto daryl's sides in eagerness. he sent me a look over his shoulder, knowing it'd be a tough journey for me.

i forced a smile to assure him, letting go of his jacket before stepping off of his bike. i didn't want him to worry about me— i needed to face this for myself.

i moved over to where hershel was while daryl and rick went to check the place out before the others arrived, "you all strapped up securely?"

"yessir" i stated, pulling up my shirt to reveal the gun tucked into my jeans. along with the fighting knives pressed against my thighs.

"good... how are you feeling?" he asked, earning an eye roll from me as i pulled down my shirt, crossing my arms over my chest, "when are people gonna stop asking me that? i'm fine— super actually."

hershel grunted at my response, his head turning to where daryl made his way back around the building. rick no where in sight.

"he's already in there. sat down with rick." daryl started, informing us of the situation as he looked around, "it don't feel right— keep it running"

hershel nodded, taking his hands off the keys. revving soon caught my attention causing me to lightly tap the hood, tilting my head towards the incoming car, "heads up."

daryl raised his crossbow, following my lead as i did the same with my gun. we all watched the tan van come to a stop in front of us, three people hopping out. one of them being andrea— and the guy that had forced me to my knees.
