Saved by the Dark

Pt.21

The walk to the Throne room seemed to take forever. Even the ride on the lift seemed like years. Kylo finally approached the marble double doors. He took a deep breath and pushed them open.

Kylo knelt down as custom,''Ahh my loyal apprentice!'' boomed Snoke. Kylo kept his head down. ''So tell me, how is our little fire doing?'' he asked. Kylo then stood up. ''She is excelling faster than predicted'' said the modulated voice. ''Making a lightsaber isn't far off,'' Kylo added.

''Very good, you both will now go to the new base and she will retrieve a crystal before our new weapon wipes them out,'' Snoke ordered. Kylo didn't like to question things, but this rose something. ''She has not had the training in that environment, she won't be of use,'' Kylo said. ''Then this will be apart of her training too......learning to survive,'' Snoke sneered. Kylo was glad the mask hid his expression. ''It will be done master,'' Kylo said and bowed.

As Kylo left, he got into the lift to take him back down to living areas. He took his helmet off and slowly slid down the wall until he reached the floor. Not only had Snoke made him responsible for her training, but LIFE as well.

When he reached the living quarters floor, he took a deep breath and walked out. He was figuring out how to tell Aalya this. Walking to her door, he slowly walked in and slowly shut the door. He looked at Alaya who was reading something and took a deep breath.

Aalya looked up from her holo pad and saw Kylo. ''I was wondering when you would be back,'' she said but Kylo remained silent. She knitted her eyebrows and stood up. Slowly, she walked towards him. ''Is everything alright?'' she said as she reached up and removed his helmet. He looked stressed. ''We have to leave tomorrow and travel to our new base,'' Kylo explained.

A little squeal filled the air. Aalya was so happy to explore new territories. '' I wouldn't be real happy,'' Kylo thought to himself. Aalya knew that there must of been more. ''What else is going on?'' Aalya asked. Kylo took a deep breath then spilled it. ''Our base is on a planet covered in snow....and your body isn't exactly ready for that yet,'' Kylo admitted. Aalya just responded with an,''oh.''

''Are traveling plans destroyed now?'' her thoughts asked. Kylo heard. ''No,no I would never leave my apprentice behind, this is also training from the Supreme Leader,'' Kylo said. ''...and you are very, very close to creating your own lightsaber,'' Kylo added.

Aalya lit up again. She loved the glow from the sabers and was on the verge of creating her own! Kylo then sat down on the couch. ''Come here a sec,'' he said. Aalya did as he commanded and sat next to him. Kylo turned to her. ''So what do you know of snow?'' Kylo asked. Aalya had no clue what he was speaking of, so she just winged it. ''Some kind of food?'' Aalya responded.

Kylo knew automatically this wasn't going to be easy. ''No, it's cold weather that your body will fight and get used to. See?'' Kylo showed her snow on her holo pad. ''Oooh it's so pretty!'' Aalya observed. This was not going to be easy, he thought to himself.

The day had passed quickly and was already at the night hour. ''We're going to be leaving tomorrow, so rest up,'' Kylo said as he stood up. She grabbed his hand as he turned around. He saw in her mind that she wanted to be with him tonight. He liked having her too in his presence. He actually could sleep.

Kylo grasped her hand back. ''Well come along then,'' he said through the force. She smiled, stood up, then followed him back to his chambres.    

Both got ready for bed as they normally did, but Aalya was in the refresher doing something. Kylo placed on his black longe pants and jumped into bed. ''Are you stuck in there?!'' Kylo sarcastically called out. He heard her through the force calling him a smart ass. Kylo grinned and let his head fall back on the pillow.

The door slid open and Aalya walked out. She was wearing a black silk night gown with the necklace he gave her. Her hair was still wet and drying. Kylo wanted to jump her right there! As she crawled into bed, Kylo did so by immediately getting on top of her. She hugged his neck and giggled then both kissed deeply. As Kylo reached over to turn off the light, they both removed their clothes.
