Saved by the Dark

Pt. 26

Hangovers were the morning greeting. Kylo slept in an odd position that his front hair was sticking up. It was quite comical because it couldn't be flattened by hand. Kylo looked around with furrowed brows then back to Aalya. ''We didn't do nothing weird last night did we?'' Kylo asked. ''Nope, just passing out.....and some disorientation,'' Aalya responded.

Kylo placed his hand on his forehead and got up. He had a little headache, but got dressed anyway. It didn't seem to bother him. Aalya got up as well and got dressed. She watched him, she knew she had to kick this ''sad'' feeling everytime he left. It wasn't like he was leaving forever. He finished dressing and heard her thought. He then walked over to her. ''No, I'm never going to leave,'' he said as he kissed her forehead. Aalya found her arm's wrapped around him as he returned the gesture.

He then placed on his mask and both headed out the door. They both walked to the hanger were Kylo's shuttle was waiting. They didn't want to draw attention, so Kylo just turned around to speak to her. ''Remember what I told you and call on FH201 and FH202 to assist you outdoors,'' he said. She nodded but Kylo still felt a small wave of sadness come from her. He wanted to comfort her but did not want to make a scene.

Aalya sensed his conflict. Instead she just mouthed, ''Go now.'' Kylo as relieved, he gave a nod and boarded. Aalya watched as the shuttle left the hanger. The two stormtroopers assigned to her stood behind her. She turned around. ''I'll call on both of you when I am ready, but for now you can resume your duties,'' she said. Both of them gave a nod a walked off.

She then walked back to their room. It felt empty now. Kylo did not tell her when he would return, she hoped it wasn't long. Aalya's sat on the bed and ordered some food to be delivered on her holo pad. As she waited, she decided to look around a sec. She did not get to see what was fully in the room yet, so she took this advantage.

There was a couple unopened boxes in the corner. They were some of Kylo's effects that must of been sent here. They must of been there for a few days. Aalya opened a box. It was more books and stuff, but some had pictures sticking out of them. 

She decided to read some of the photo descriptions and some of the letters. Some of these letters were intriguing! There was a knock at the door, but she totally ignored it. There were some snacks in the room she could munch on. Aalya did not know where these letters were from, just from Kylo's former life as ''Ben.''

Training would start in an hour, but she wanted to read this last letter. Who was Master Skywalker and what was a Padawan? She read the last letter and got nothing. Then a photo slipped out. Kylo was in earth tone robes sandwiched in between two people. She turned it over and read the title on the back. ''Our future Jedi.''

Aalya knew that Kylo had a previous life, but she never thought a Jedi. She had so many questions, but then she remembered Kylo mention that the Jedi were ''liars.'' Perhaps this is why he left or is there more to it? She was filled with questions, but they would have to wait until he returned. Training was close to starting. She grabbed a snack and started eating as she walked down the hallway.

Both stormtroopers were at the door when she arrived.  They were all ready to go outside. Aalya ignited her heat within and they went outside.

Meanwhile, Kylo and his crew arrived in a village on Jakku. Sensing a Resistance member here was not the plan, they were after the map too! He interrogated who he needed to. All of a sudden, there was a blaster shot out of no where. Kylo's force strength easily froze it. The map was there they just couldn't figure out where it was at. Stormtroopers had caught the lone resistance member and hauled him into the ship. Kylo then gave Phasma the order to destroy everything and everyone!

A few days had passed and Aalya now could master being outside. One day, she even took a stroll on her own to see the snow a little more. As she looked into the cloudy sky, she hoped Kylo was alright wherever he was.

Night fell upon the land as Aalya went inside and ate dinner. She had exhausted herself today and decided to take a hot shower and head to bed early. The droids had started the fire in the fireplace so the room was warm and cozy. She fell asleep very fast under all the blankets.
