I remember carrying so much anger around when I was younger
I felt as though I had no other choice
Than to fall in line
With the anger and the spite
That filled every crevice of myself,
And wormed its way into my soul
For years yet to come.
Do not feel as though
You need to piece yourself together
With rage and animosity
In order to prosper in this world.
You can be soft and still yell with all your might -
You can stay humble and know your worth -
You can be loving yet strong at the same time.
