Is there something out there?
Is it strange to hope -
Yet fear -
There is, but not quite be
What we expect it to be?
Is it a being?
A monster - something unexplainable, something of our nightmares?
Is it a light, an energy, something we have an idea of -
Whether it be through science
Or religion?
Ancient, yet new?
Something exquisite? Something beautiful? Something we can only dream of being?
Is it all powerful or is it weak, undesirable?
If something is out there,
Is it strange to hope, to pray, to cry out in anger - yet fear -
that there is?
That it's not what we expect it to be?
That it's all above and more?
Or is it worse to hope there isn't something out there after all.
