Charlotte's POV :

My first week on the set of Station 19 finished quickly and smoothly.

I managed to hide in my trailer every time I wasn't needed and no one seemed suspicious. Except maybe Danielle and Stefania who found me walking home alone in the dark the first day, but I'm sure they already forgot about it.

Danielle's POV :

I couldn't help but check on Charlotte every time I could.

She looked anxious, her eyes were never meeting the ones of her coworkers except when we were filming.

I didn't know what it was, but I could sense that something was wrong with her. And the little event of the beginning of the week when Stefania and I drove her home because she was walking by herself late at night was enough to make me worry.

However, I couldn't talk about it with my friends because they all knew her as this young, smiling and famous actress.

But I knew there was something behind this outward appearance that needed to be looked at.

I wanted to involve her in the daily life of being on the set of Station 19 but she was still too closed up.

At midday, when we were having lunch, Charlotte was once again nowhere to be seen.

"I'll be a minute." I said standing up and excusing myself.

Stefania looked at me with a frown but I shook my head at her, not wanting to draw attention to me.

I made my way to Charlotte's trailer and softly knocked on the door.

I heard no response so I opened the door and slid my head inside.

"Sweetheart ?"

"Charlotte ?"

I fully entered the trailer and saw her sound asleep on the couch.

When I approached her, I saw goosebumps on her skin.

Poor thing, she was shivering.

I quickly went to my trailer which was situated right next to hers and took a blanket.

I came back to Charlotte and laid the blanket over her frail body.

The movement must have disrupted her sleep because she stirred and scrubbed her eyes.

"Hi." I smiled softly.

When she fully opened her eyes, she saw me and jumped, nearly falling from the couch.

"Hey hey, it's just me, it's just Danielle."

"What- what are you doing here ?" She asked shaking, her hand resting on her chest because I startled her.

"I was just checking on you sweetie. We've not seen you eat with us the whole week and I wanted to make sure you knew we would be so happy if you join our little group."

She looked at me with fear in her eyes, still clutching her shirt where her heart was.

"Did you have lunch already ? You can come with us, we were just starting."

Again, no answer.

She was like frozen, wondering if she could trust me after I caused her a little fear.

But I needed her to feel comfortable with me.

I wanted her to trust me.

"Can I come closer ?" I carefully asked.

"N- no."

"Okay, okay. I'm staying right where I am."

We stayed in a heavy silence until I thought she was calm enough.
