everyone knows maddie and mackenzie ziegler. abby lee's favorite dancers. but let's throw one more into the mix, malia ziegler. the oldest half sister of maddie and mackenzie.

nationals. what the entire season has led up to is finally here. the aldc were in tahoe this week and had just arrived to the rental studio. this week malia was so ready to compete. usually during nationals it's a stressful week with the ziegler's so malia was ready for the headache.
once again abby had a pyramid set up and the girls stood in front of her.
i miss sitting in front of the chalkboard. malia thought
"here we are in another studio, another week, we need to learn a new group routine. this is tough." abby began, "you have to do it today and there's props. now i want to reflect a little bit on the past two weeks. i keep telling you guys you've been given an amazing opportunity, you've been hand selected to go across the country and learn a new number every week and do these competitions and you are not stepping up to the plate. i wanna see energy, enthusiasm and fun. and if you don't wanna do it there's probably a hundred other kids who'd love to be in your shoes right now. so i need to see motivation, i want you to want to win. this is my reputation on the line it's my name— but it's also your names."
"so i'm gonna start now with paige. next is mackenzie, nia, next is chloe, brooke, maddie. and back on top we have malia. malia you will be doing a solo as well as a duet with chloe."
both girls turned to each other with smiles hearing this. "chloe you will also be doing a solo. maddie you as well. paige and brooke i'm giving you a duet. you have to work together as friends. i do not want you fighting as sisters. if you waste time bickering back and forth, you're never going to get it finished."
"everyone is in the group this week, even mackenzie." the girls all smiled at this and malia looked down at her sister who had a nervous smile. "every single one of you is an important piece of the puzzle. and in a group routine everybody needs to pull their weight and i'm telling you now, we need to win. alright let's get to rehearsing let's get moving."
the girls nodded as they moved their dance bags to the side and took their extra clothes off, showing their dance wear. abby explained the group to them, it was called this is my beauty but is wasn't about the beauty on the outside it was about the beauty on the inside that counts.
gianna had handed all the girls a hand held mirror and they began choreographing. it had only been 40 minutes and malia loved the group. it was lyrical and they haven't done it yet this season and it was finally a hard number after a bunch of easy numbers.
when done the girls took a break as chloe started her solo. "wait sissy are we staying with you're dad this week?" mackenzie asked as malia drunk her water.
"yup. we're going home with gia when momma leaves and then my dads gonna pick us up from there." malia explained and the two younger sisters nodded.

it was the second day of rehearsals and malia was running her solo with abby and riley. it was a weird duo to see but malia didn't say anything. riley was doing the choreographing while abby watched and pointed out critiques.
